Some shots of the base. The lantern itself comes off the base, but I have no idea how to get it through and out of the rest of the base. The top "cone" of the lantern is also a separate piece.

Yup, I'm sure... it's a peg and hole system.... with a single angled corner so you can only put the top piece in one way. Why it was made this way I have no idea... Maybe had something to do with the original light up concept?

what wobbles? mine seems pretty solid. that flare looks like the biggest middle finger flick off to the rest of the pieces haha great pics!

LOL, I totally agree.... Mine doesn't actually wobble, but I get all nervous moving it around, since it's so tall, heavy, yet thin.
