Superb shots Jedibear. Kenobi has leapt to the No1 figure in my collection

Thanks for the kind words!

Speaking of excellent...sir, I'm breathless! Your work here is absolutely superb!

That is the one thing about this figure that all of the carping about the price, the scupt, the quality-whatever-can not take away. This figure just tells stories by looking at it. I also REALLY love this figure. It is really great to see it inspire some great photos.

Top of your game, sir! :clap

Thanks everyone for the kind words. It's nice to be able to contribute a little back to this community, as so much of what I do has been inspired and encouraged by what I see here.

Totally with you Jedibear. This figure has it's flaws but somehow, they just don't matter to me. I think it's to do with the fact that all my other figures have a defined history mapped out but this figure is uncharted waters :D

Some cool pictures here for sure but I just don't understand these mythos statues. They're just a bit too much, too fancy schmancy for their own good.

This figure tell a story about the character that wasn’t seen in the films. What would Obi Wan look like or experience between RotS and ANH? Nothing too fancy, it’s just a different look to fit the “mythic” story line.

The description on the SSC site covers it pretty well:

About This Sixth Scale Figure

“Obi-Wan… Now that’s a name I’ve not heard in a long time.”

Sideshow is thrilled to introduce a return to the world of the Star Wars collectible Mythos line, with the Obi-Wan Kenobi Sixth Scale Figure. As a collection, Sideshow’s Mythos series are fine art collectibles that allow the collector to imagine what could have been but maybe never was. Myths meant to be initiated by the eye and completed by the mind.

The Obi-Wan Kenobi Sixth Scale Figure captures the period in the Jedi’s life as envisioned prior to A New Hope, following Revenge of the Sith. He features a detailed likeness as imagined by Sideshow artists to represent an aged Ben Kenobi who has witnessed the destruction of the Jedi Order at the hands of the Empire.

I hope they continue to occasionally re-visit this concept in the future. Absolutely love this figure and can't wait for Boba Fett!

I think it’s the hood — hard to make sculpted hair lay down flat like the weight of the hood would to real. I think it looks fine.

Another nice photo, Link.

I’m tempted to get this figure, but I’m not impressed by the head

Nice shots, Link...

Chemicals...if you like the character and the concept, you'll like the figure. Just ask anyone in here who has picked it up. We can't stop futzing with it and taking pictures. It is so incredibly eye-catching and cool.
