Hi guys, heres a few pics of my Stormtrooper rework.
The helmet was reworked from a Sandtrooper with
Kaiyodo decals. I still need to adjust a couple of paint
details but I,m happy with the results so far.:)

Here,s a few more pics. For some odd reason I quite like the last,
slightly out of focus, one. (Probably because it hides my crappy
paint job!:lol)

A lot of very fine tuning on that helmet. Your attention to detail is fantastic. Well done!

Thanx Kamandi, needs more work but I,m getting there! I need to tone down the paint on the "ears + frown" to try to match the Kaiyodo decals, plus a few other mods. :gah:

man that bucket looks amazing!!! and the decal are great!! Where did you get the decals or did you mate them... I am after some for stormies and tie pilots!!

The shinny armour is also brilliant...

Thanx Dorgmal, I,m a admirer of your work also. Very nice web site
you have by the way! As for the decals, they are from a Kaiyodo 1/6
stormtrooper kit that I bought yrs ago. Luckily I had the sense to
scan the decals before I used them! I,ve uploaded them to my pics
album on the site here. All you need to do is copy them, reduce to the
right size(Tube stripes should measure 15mm) then print them using
decal paper.

:hi5:thats a great idea!many thanks for that!

Not only a fantastic job on your stormie, but thanks for the decal pic!!!

You,re welcome guys, I kinda figured the decals would be useful for
others as well as myself. As for printing them, well, that,s gonna be
new to me. I,ve ordered some decal sheet off Ebay, so as soon as it
arrives I,ll give it a go and let you know how they turn out! The
technique seem,s simple enough but I know you have to spray the
decals with a fixative before you use them. I,ve ordered both clear
and white decal sheet(+fixative) so that I can see which works best.

I've done both using the fixative. As long as you have a good printer, it should not be a problem. My only concern is the gray areas on clear paper.
If you don't mind cutting them exact, white paper is the way to go.
If I have to use clear, I will brush white under where the decal will go to brighten any light colors (especially reds).
With a white helmet, that step could be skipped completely.

On this figure that I made of a friend of mine when he won an annual fishing award, I created decals for his cooler and tackle box this way...

And on Muzzle's arm insignia.

So I have nothing but kudos for decal sheets!

Excellent sir, I,m looking forward to giving it a try, as for a good
printer, I have a good one but there,s a professional printshop
just round the corner from me. Guess where I,m heading.....:)

Will do sir, but no sign of decal sheet so far.:gah: However, work on the
"infamous" codpiece is progressing, so pics soon hopefully!
PS, If any of you have seen the Blackadder TV series I was sorta
thinking of sculpting a codpiece along those lines but reckon I might
get banned from here for posting pics of it!:lol
