Something is pushing those trees down, not just the 3 in the middle but also the larger ones on the sides. It takes the shape of a dish; looks to me like some invisible UFO is pushing them down.

They always show Close Encounters on TV around the Christmas Holidays, so that would fit the theme.

I don't wanna rain on anyone's parade, but you might be looking for clues where there are no clues to be found. The background is probably just the result of the designer using a stock image that wasn't quite large enough, so it's been copied, flipped horizontally, and joined with the original to fill out the space. It's a basic, cheap designer trick (no offense to the artist in question, of course...).

I suppose it could have been done for clue-based reasons, but it seems like a bit of a stretch to pull BTTF or Narnia out of it.

Just my two cents.
