One character they may have really nailed though is the guy they chose for Lestrade. From the few things I've recongnized him from, he will be brilliant as that annoying bastard inspector.

I agree with others, that it looks a bit like an Indiana Jones film.
It could be the Sequel to Spielberg and Barry Levinson's Young Sherlock Holmes.

i'm hoping this'll be good, but with guy ritchie at the helm, i dunno. the man's track record's been pretty hit n miss. actually, more miss than hit.

and i really don't mind all the action and comedy.

just as long as they honour what holmes was really abt: the greatest detective in fiction. so they'd better write a great whopping brain-buster of a mystery worthy of holmes' legendary deductive abilities. if they can pull that off, i'll be happy...

I'm sure I'll enjoy it - I've always been open to different interpretations of Holmes. I loved Young Sherlock Holmes and have seen a lot of TV adaptations...

But my favorite is the Granada Television Series. Brett was just amazing as Holmes.
