I don't expect a different colored pauldron as an exclusive on 1-9, it will probably be another figure stand (kinda lame IMO). I think SS will wait and release a second Santrooper with the orange pauldron and L-21(?) blaster.

I still think the figure stands are going to be for Prequel troops only. They're the ones with all the fancy regiment numbers and stuff - what would this one say "Sandtrooper, Tatooine Garrison" or something like that? I can't see them doing it with the other OT troops (Biker Scout, Snowtrooper, etc) so this one would look pretty out of place.

It may not be a different pauldron, either, now that I think of it. Correct me if I'm wrong, but Sideshow hasn't really done exclusives that would compel people to buy both versions. You always seem to get an "extra" but not something that would designate a new character. On the other hand, they haven't done much in the way of trooper characters, either, so you never know. Plus there are lots of opportunities to do more Sandtroopers down the road - at least Orange, Black and Grey - and I can't see all of these being regular releases...

Oh yeah, and let's not bother with "clean" Sandtroopers, that's crazy talk! ;)

Damn Batman Mike , I want Sideshow to put their efforts in their PF lines and their statues...Its not my fault i'm not a fan of dolls..besides, Since when my comments have any influences on anyone here...:google

I'd like to think there's plenty of room for both.
I like the look of some of those PFs, but I go for the "dolls" because of space issues and the flexibility of display options with those "dolls".

And Shai...I always appreciate your comments...adds variety to this place. :)

I just hope this doesn't go the route of releasing a new figure who's only difference from the last one is a belt, blaster or pauldron when it would just as collector-friendly to include those "accessories" with one release.

I think a great example of this goes all the way back to the premiere release...Jedi Luke. He had every hand, saber hilt, cloak, vest and more to achieve any of his looks from ROTJ in one great release. I'd like to see the Troopers follow the same pattern.

I agree with you but at least with the Sandtroopers they had different guns, backpacks, ad pauldrons that I think they can warrant a few different ones out of these characters. And yeah, these different exclusive stands are...lame-o. It ain't always about the exclusive.

From what I know there is no gray Sandtrooper, Hasbro made that up. There is only orange pauldron (Squad Leader), black pauldron (Corporal), and white pauldron (Sergeant)

my money is on the sandtrooper either ONLY having th white pauldron, or comming with all three as the regular edition. Most likely, I'm gonna sat it's just gonna be th e white, and this years comi-con exclusive will be the orange one.

As for the exclusive,I'm gonna bet that the exclusive will be the droid that follows the squad around in the special edition version of ANH.

It'd be cool if the Sandtrooper included all weapons and pauldrons and there was an open limit on how many you can get like the Stormtrooper so you can get as many as you like or if you want a particular rank you can just use the correct gear for it.

Sandtrooper!! I will get at least one. Depending on the configuration that comes with the Exclusive, I may get another Regular Edition provided I am fast enough to place my PO for the Exclusive. Hopefully, my internet connection don't die on me during the PO.

If they add all pauldrons to the first figure maybe we won't get different paint weathering or different rifles that come with the other Sandtroopers.

And besides the 3 colored pauldrons we need to see the 3 different blaster rifles (besides E-11 blaster)

Oh, I'd bet that's exactly what it is. Add a pauldron, a backpack, a different gun and some "dirt" and there it is...

Yeah, I don't see them going through the trouble and expense of making small changes like that either. Those kinds of minute differences are things only the hardest core fans would notice anyway.

Marmit made the necessary changes for their Stormtrooper and Sandtrooper, and I am sure Sideshow will as well. Fear not!
