Comic-Con International 2014 badge preregistration is right around the corner, and just like Bruce Wayne, it’s good to get your gadgets ready ahead of time! The EPIC online badge registration system is simple and easy to use, but we have listed some important tips to ensure that things run as smoothly as possible.
First and foremost, it is critical that your browser is configured correctly when you enter the EPIC Registration waiting room. Your browser should have JavaScript and cookies enabled to function reliably with the EPIC waiting room. These features are usually enabled in the default configuration of most modern web browsers. If you do not have these features enabled, it is possible that the waiting room application will not function properly. To check your browser settings, visit https://landing.cloudapp.net/Home/Precheck
Your personal registration code will only authorize one device and one browser to enter the EPIC waiting room. You may not run multiple browsers or multiple browser sessions of the waiting room. If you attempt to enter your registration code on a different device and/or browser, your registration code will authorize the NEW device and your old device and/or browser session will expire. For example, if you accidentally log in to the waiting room early from your mobile device but decide that you would prefer to use your desktop computer, you will be able to do so. Simply close/quit your mobile device and authorize your desktop computer by returning to the EPIC landing page and entering your registration code again.
If for any reason your browser crashes or you leave the waiting room before 9:00 AM Pacific Time, you will still be able to log back in using your registration code.
Just remember, if you decide to authorize a different device, your previous session will automatically expire. Therefore, you should not attempt to authorize a new device after the sale begins at 9:00 AM Pacific Time, or you will lose your spot in line!
If you choose to copy-and-paste your personal registration code into the EPIC landing page, be sure to delete any spaces before or after the code.
The EPIC online badge registration system has been tested on the following browsers:

Internet Explorer

Comic-Con cannot guarantee that the EPIC registration system will behave as expected if you use a browser not listed above.
Unfortunately, the EPIC online badge registration system is not formatted for mobile devices. It is definitely possible to purchase a badge using your mobile device, but you may find some formatting issues that could make a page difficult to read and slow you down. Because the system is not formatted for mobile devices, Comic-Con is unable to guarantee that the registration system will behave as expected using your cell phone or a mobile device.
Once inside the EPIC waiting room, it is very important that you do not refresh your browser. The waiting room will refresh automatically every 120 seconds. If you see a spinning blue circle on your page, then your waiting room session is active! It is very important to remember that badge sales will begin after 9:00 AM and the sorting process could take several minutes. It is critical that you do not refresh your browser at 9:00 AM or while we are sorting attendees into random order, or you will be pushed to the back of the line. A yellow status message box will keep you updated every 120 seconds while we are sorting. Be patient and do not hit refresh. During this sale, the F5 button is not your friend!
We also recommend that you adjust or turn off your computer's power saving setting so that your computer does not go to sleep or power down while you are in the waiting room.
If you reach the front of the waiting room line, remember that you will only have 15 minutes to complete your entire registration session. There is no timer or countdown clock, so please keep an eye on the time as you move from step to step. This is why we strongly suggest that you have all Member IDs and last names of the individuals you are purchasing for ready before you enter the waiting room. You don’t want to get stuck on the badge selection step without having this information at your fingertips.
Also, it is very important that you do not use your browser’s back button at any time during your registration session! Comic-Con absolutely cannot guarantee that the EPIC registration system will behave as expected if you use your back button during any step of the registration process. For example, if you selected too few or too many members to buy badges for, do not hit the back button to try to return to your member selection page. You will lose your reserved badge inventory and you may experience session errors during checkout. Like the F5 button, your browser’s back button is the enemy during preregistration!
Many of you have also sent us questions regarding credit card payment. You may use someone else’s credit card with their authorization. The address and name associated with the credit card does not need to match the information in your Member ID account. Additionally, if any of the contact information in your Member ID account is currently incorrect, you will have the opportunity to change it when the Member ID system reopens later next week. For tomorrow’s sale, it is critical that you log in using the information that is currently listed in your Member ID account, even if your last name is incorrect.
If your Membership Type (Adult, Senior, Junior or Military) is incorrect, please purchase the badge option that is shown to you during your registration session. If you require a refund for the discounted price, we will be able to assist you after the sale, but if you do not purchase a badge tomorrow when they are available we will not be able to sell you one at a later date.
We understand that this is a lot of information and it may be overwhelming to some of you. We publish these lengthy tips in direct response to our fan’s feedback that they desire to be armed with as much information as possible. Reading and understanding this information is not a requirement for badge purchase, in fact, we believe that the badge purchase process is more streamlined than ever.
