Anyone has a Kenobi on a true type from ROTS? How difficult was it to change the head over?

thank you fellows.... i was able to transplant my jedi luke to a slim true type last night... not hard but not easy.

Had to shorten the neck to get rid of the giraffe effect
Shave off part of the foots to get them in the boots.

Next is Kenobi, I am putting him on a narrow true type...

Ill post pics tonight when I get home...

Any know if the TrueType African-American Slim will be work for a stormtrooper body? I know the foot pegs are different then the caucasion version.

Any one have any pics of the pegs for the african-american truetype

isin't the sideshow jedi luke head too big for the truetype slim?

Thats why I didnt do it. I had everything ready to go but did not like the look of the head on the slim.
I just put him on a Bespin Luke Buck

Here are the pics fellows... Figure looks awesome and its very possible. The sculpt to me it looks good... Enjoy the pics...

Here's the only shot of my Kenobi on a narrow-shouldered TT ... taken on my staging area as I was getting ready to hand some new shelves.

Like most people here, I found that the slim TT was too small for the Jedi Luke head. After putting Ki-Adi on a NSTT, I used the leftover body for my Jedi Luke head. Same height as the original Jedi Luke Buck body, but without the monkey arms. :nod The two go together perfectly.

Big file. Sorry.

Bespin Luke, however, works nicely with the Slim TT.

That Bespin Luke looks great! Been thinking about picking one up. Now I'll need another TT Slim as well LOL!

nicely done Rook.
Two questions:
How did you get the boots over the TT feet for kenobi? Did you have to trim the feet a bit?
What is a NSTT body? It looks phenomenal on Ki-adi... Makes want to do the same..

I suppose no one like my jedi luke with the slim truetype.:monkey2

Narrow Shoulder TrueType

Truly, I wouldn't like that Jedi Luke if it was on Mark Hamill's body, he's got giant hands and I'm in the camp that finds that it's a terrible likeness. I have no idea why I haven't sold it. . . probably because I keep deluding myself into thinking it will be worth a lot more someday, but those days are long gone now.

I took the toes off of the True Type. They're held in by a plastic pin. Just bend a paper clip and use it to push the pin out of the feet.

After doing that, soften the boots up with a hot hair dryer for about 60 seconds. Pop the feet off of the ball joints, slide them all the way into the boots while they're still hot, then push the legs down into the boots until you feel the ball joint pop onto the feet. No one ever needs to know that your figures are missing their toes.

Rook, the collar is wrong on your bespin Luke. Flip it up, think Nehru.

Thanks, Lerath. :) I actually caught that on my own ... after I'd taken the photograph. Naturally. At any rate, it's fixed now...

why do people keep suggesting to take the toes off the truetype feet. I've never had to do that on any swaps, the feet fit just fine into the boots.

Do you have problems with the toes bending the wrong way as you put them into the boots?

My Jedi Luke is on a normal Dragon body. The pic shows my 3 Luke WIPs. Each on a different body...Bespin Luke is on a slim Dragon figure (had one lying around before the slim TT came out), Jedi Luke on a standard Dragon body, and Death Star Luke on a Slim TT. The dragon body just needs a slither taking out of the legs to shorten it to the TT's height, but otherwise very similar, and the head of the Jedi Luke doesn't look too huge because the shoulders are broader. The slim DML body is the same size as the standard, it's just that Bespin Luke is in a much deeper stance.
