Onward - 8.5 (maybe 9)/10

Another top tier Pixar movie, great on all accounts. Basically, Frozen for men... Brozen. I'll definitely be purchasing this one, likely 3D and 4K.

Sadly, this will probably be my last trip to the theater until this virus runs its course, good note to stop on.

Anyone manage to catch the release of Apocalypse Now Final Cut in Imax??

I just saw it tonight and it was amazing. I'll never watch this movie on a television again. It demands to be experienced in a theater.

My only criticism is the pointless and boring French plantation scene....no idea why that was re-inserted into the movie. Everything else is awesome though.....those helicopters flying in formation blasting Wagner?? Absolutely iconic.

First Man: 6/10

Not really sure what all the buzz was about. This was mediocre at best. The Right Stuff did it better 30 years ago.

Knives Out 6/10

Just an average mystery, with a few good laughs. Mostly good because of Daniel Craig. The rest of the cast was kinda boring. The resolution was so off the wall, that you couldn?t possible figure it out. And what the point of a mystery if the audience has not chance of figuring it out as well??

Looper 8.5/10.

This is a seriously great film, with a few slow spots. I think it?s too deep for some people to understand, and perhaps other got too bogged down in the paradoxes.

Its one of my favorite films of the time travel genre now.

Catching up on movies I didn't catch last year

Joker: 7/10 - overall a good film I just didn't get the buzz surrounding it.
Venom 5/10 - average at best

I still have Spiderman Far From Home, IT part 2, Alita, Toy Story 4 and John Wick 3 coming up sometime.

Saw Independence Day Resurgence again - can't remember what I rated it the first time, or if I rated it. I'll throw it a 5/10, passable entertainment but inferior to the first one which actually brought some emotion with its destruction porn.

I used the lockdown as an excuse to order the deluxe Alita hardcover set of the full manga series. Halfway through Book 1 right now. It's awesome. :rock

I will have to read it then. I really enjoyed the movie and would love to see another one.

I'm watching all the Bond movies. I just started Goldeneye (Pierce Brosnan era) last night. Missed Dalton and Lazenby movies because I don't have them). Watch Connery and early Moore its crazy the "roll" of women back then. If Bond was real he would be standing right there with Weinstein in the courtroom. It kind of makes you wonder with al the #metoo movement. These old men popping up now a days had Bond characters as roll models and a guideline on how to treat woman. No wonder their all ****ed!!!

I have been going through some of the Bond Movies too. I have them all. I have been watching a lot of my favorite movies and catching up on some shows I never finished. Goldeneye is a great film.

Rambo: Last Blood 3/10

I honestly cannot remember the last film I rated so low. This is the worst dumpster fire I have sat through in years.

Its pretty much a B horror film, with all the trimmings. CGI Blood? Check. Exploited women in peril? Check. Generoc bad dudes? Check. Creative killing methods? Check. Terrible acting? Check.

Its very possible this film was made for the angry white man audience (the opposite of the SJW crowds) just to show a patriotic america killing bad Mexicans.

What the hell was his speech about at the end? I though his rampage was about revenge for his beloved niece?

Laughable patriotism, guised as simple anger. Shame on you Stallone.
You want patriotism watch Band of Brothers.

Onward on Disney+. I give it a... meh. Pretty disappointing for a Pixar movie. A lot of been there, done that to the story line. Overall, I was glad I didn’t have to pay to see this, and I had to spread it out over two days as it didn’t really capture my attention.

Raiders of the Lost Ark 10/10
Temple of Doom 10/10
(The actor who plated Short Round should have had a Oscar Nomination for Supporting male). He did so much in that movie. Still love it today!!!
