Yes indeed, actually the information I provided here on the second example of the auctions I researched I believe are the pics from his current auction or what he snapped and sent to me via e-mail.

Looks like everything but the pegs, truly unreal.:sick
 
Just a head's up here, I have had quite a few SS PFs come with the grey styrofoam and that was direct from SS themselves.

That isn't any indication of a fake, by any means. :wave
 
A guy from an other board received his comiquette directly from SS.

head peg is round, foot peg is square...Also both the peg in the head and in the foot are brass or gold colored

Yeah u can't go by the grey stryo anymore since the recasters are now able to get their hands on some grey styos, seemed like a white styro was a good indicator at the beginning of recasting the reg/gold IM but now they've come full swing with the original grey styros and boxes.

I live in Bangkok, Thailand and sideshow stuff is non existance here....

when i buy SS stuffs i have to send them to my friends place in WA then i will go and pick them up in one go...

originally i only wanted Hulk and Spiderman Diorama .....put my name on the waitist but didn't get it...now when i started using ebay to look for SS.... i see more statues that are cool!!! damn u ebay!!

fortunately I ve got a booking for Greenscar and Silver surf exc + Vega Exc from sideshow....

but Hulk vs Spiderman and Ironman that i like (the fake that i ve just bought) can only get from ebay!!

i saw the Iron man from Indonesia which is quite close to Thailand last night...so i thought cool...at least i have one statue now....

i am quite new to ebay so i pay very quickly......then i saw your thread about 2 hours ago

anyway how do you know which is real or fake when there is only a few pics to be seen...like the link below....just have to trust the buyer i guess

Actually the only recast of Hulk Vs Spidermans are the reg version, the exclusive green and grey haven't been recasted just yet...
 
Fairly high chances that a number of Exclusives including regular from Indonesia are recasts. I can be the witness because I know of a toy store in Jakarta, Indonesia that openly sell the recasts along with originals. So there's no way you can tell them apart for a newbie. The store's tactics is they will sell original exclusives first. Perhaps 1-2 pieces. The early buyers get the original. Then the recasts will come in. Those who have received word from early buyers that it is original, thinks its original.

They also openly sell other recasts. I am not sure how many Cpt. America PFs I have seen coming out from that store. People love to buy from them for 2 reasons. 1. Don't know the fakes. 2. Know fakes and love the cheap fakes. The store should be stripped of the wholesale license. Some of the pre-order prices they are taking here are also ruining the market prices.


This one seemed real enough, I'm no expert. Considering there's 2pc of 404. The Indonesia one seemed fake, considering the price itself is lower than expected.

Friend, first of all I want to clear up things with you:

1. I absolutely do not know that this one is a fake, I just a victim like some other guys out there who buy another fake statue.

I read the forum on your link that you gave me and you can see by yourself that many many people out there does not know the difference between the real or fake one, including ME.SO when I bought this one I just check as far as I know about the statue,coloring,box,base,any cracks,chips,paint error.

I did not know about the bronze peg, circular peg,the leg peg,tony's eyebrow etc.I just know when I read in the forum.

I am just a collector who get ripped by local seller.

I went to the store where I bought this and they said they could not d anything because they think this one is the original one.

If I know this is a fake one,will I put this on ebay auction complete with some detail photos which everybody in the world could see??

I think you guys out there should thank me for this,with this you can saw the differences!! So what I can do??

What would you do if you in my position?? I bought this very expensive,over your buying price to me.

If you want your money back, I will refund. But if you want discount just hit me with your offer because this problem give me serious headache!!

I want to get out this piece from my house.

and i will also correct the mistake on the forum .yes i only paid you

Now to be perfectly honest i do not know how much you have bought the statue for and i dont know how much a "re-cast" actually cost

Now if i hit you with the number it will be very very low....because it is a "re-cast"

if you really want to get this piece out of your house let the forum of experts be the judge here

if they could come up with the price then we could negotiate to finalised the problem..

if you do not accept the number. then i would greatly appreciate if you could send the money back to me

OK...now please give the benefit of the doubt to him...how much would this statue actually cost ?

sorry to get people in the forum involved but now they will know that there are sellers oversea who do not know about the "recast" and is willing to fix the problem
