Not horribly surprised when I got the e-mail. At this rate I'm going to have to save up a little nest-egg for when these all ship at once.

I just spent some time looking through a whole bunch of pictures of these pieces at the shows, and this line, or at least the prototypes, are truly something to behold.

The raw detail in sculpt and colors are phenomenal.

I feel Sideshow has a lot riding on this line. And as such I can't imagine they'd just send these off to be produced at just any old factory in China.

I mean, Sideshow is trying a make a franchise here. This is meant to be more than just statues, it's obviously an identity they're trying to create. A large brand that is directly identifiable with Sideshow themselves.

How could this line fail? How could these NOT live up to expectations? I can imagine, though I have no inside info, that these might have been sent to a factory with a much higher standard than what we're used to. At least I can hope...

While Im in on his line and hope for an awesome production, Im more into comic PFs and I think this would be a really selfish route. Although to also consider, regardless that's its SSC's line specifically, all PF productions have the SSC name on it.

I'm gonna sit and wait on Queen until I see the in hand pics. I think the face worries me most about her and I want to see if they can get them consistent.

I share that same concern. Hopefully they can strive for a more "realistic" looking paint app. I can see where a sloppy or cheap/rushed job may end up giving her face an overly cartoon-y look...

I got my print the other day and am waiting for it to flatten out before I get a pic. I'm surprised at how small it is compared to the DC prints. Still looks amazing though.
