I am kind of a noob when it comes to head sculpt painting. I recently aquired a Batman sculpt and it is kind of tacky and I have been making some repairs to it as well. I had to epoxy an ear on and fill some bubble holes. What kind of primer would you recommend to seal it prior to painting with acrylics? The resin is tacky to the point of leaving dirty finger prints when handling.

Wash it in hot soapy water ( washing up liquid is fine ) to get rid of the mould release residue. Make sure it's thoroughly rinsed off after.

If it's still tacky after you've washed it then it may be a problem with the resin not being cured properly.

Although you can buy primers, any white acrylic should be fine to use as a primer.
