MAMBA shouldnt be paying for shipping if he is returning it. SS are playing dumb mentioning "only the Gaps" in the teeth are intentional. Well DUH but you guys still screwed it up! We're talking about how its not executed properly. Some have bigger gaps than others and the paint app sucks on the teeth. Yeh we agree the gaps were intentional and are on aaaall the reg heads but execution sucks. Its faulty, dont ignore what we're putting down.

MAMBA just be more clear if thats the way you wanted to go. Not saying you have to send it back as collectors here still enjoy it. But if you have decided to send it back then its on SS.

I was thinking about taking a black sharpie to the pieces in the teeth where they stuck together in the cracks. I want to file it or knife it but I'd rather have it this way now than a broken tooth Hulk.

gah, no! No sharpie. Acrylic paint, it'll look and bond better. You can get it at a hobby/art store and you can also get a gloss top coat that will seal it and a small brush to apply it. A 2oz bottle should only set you back, at most $5, plus the brush and the top coat, maybe $15 total.

It took them a full 24hours to charge me after the date they told me they'd charge me.

You guys must've gotten them awful 198, cause Mr. Green got the perfect 199/1000. The reg. teeth are fine. This is even better than the Rulk as the lighter color bring out the details. It's even better than the original Hulk PF. This is the new grail as everything: the base, pants, body, and heads, are way better in details and pose. SSC saving the gray for last as they know it will be over the top. The details will pop even more and the shirt is awesome beyond awesome.

So where does this Hulk compare with the others?

First let me say that I am one of the ones who has never been in 100% in love with the original. However I can appreciate it's quality and understand why it's considered the Grail of Grails..

Does this one top it??

Well yes and No.

There is just something about the OG Hulk that sets it apart from the others... It's a combination of size and paint apps... The pain apps on the original are second to none... Nothing in the Hulk world comes close. It's perfect as far as paint apps go. There is also something about the texture that blows all other pieces away. Its beautiful to see.

For me the knock has always been on the face sculpt and pose... the face sculpt was a bit too Duh looking and the pose was IMO boring.

This new PF has the OG beat in Sculpt and pose. It's funny but we always talk about the original being Kirby style but the new EX head is Kirby in a realistic form. OG Hulk is almost the cartoon version and this is made to look like real life sculpt.

Stan Lee and Jack Kirby wanted Hulk to be a monster and that is where the influence for his original look comes from. The new Ex head captures the Kirby Frankenstein look much better then the Original, which IMO looked more ape then monster.

The Pose for the new one is better IMO also. I just think it displays better and shows off the power of the Hulk better.

But IMO nothing will ever replace the original as far as quality, paint apps and classic status. Even if the OG Hulk is far from my fav. It seems like it's status as a fan fav will probably always stand as #1

What I mean by that is that I don't think this Hulk will ever achieve the after market prices and popularity that the original does. I think the Neck seam will keep it from that. Only time will tell.

For me... All things being equal and both pieces were presented to me and I knew nothing about value.. I would pick the new one.. For face sculpt, size and pose.

If the Comiquette was 1/4 scale and painted like the new one... It would be hands down my fav.... Even with the Buzz cut The Body sculpt and Pose are far and away the best IMO.

Your points are right on with my thoughts. I personally dont think any hulk statue will match the original sculpt but the face was never quite right. While I still like the original better overall, the classic portrait on the new hulk is right on the money.

New Hulk foot vs Hulk Maquette.

His size was a bit surprising. I'd seen the OG Hulk in person and I've seen the Maquette, this though is larger. It's the overall girth(waits for the **** jokes), he makes every other PF I have look tiny, even the oversized Batman.
