I really wouldn't mind one of those aragorn at the black gates. It does look pretty nice. But I think the Gandalf on Shadowfax and Ringwraith on Steed are enough riders for me.

I agree with dstephan completely.

I'm sure SS would love to spread shipping out over the complete 3rd quarter like we'd like because when 4-5 items ship in one week, I'm sure they get hit with a ton of cancellations.

I'm sure it has to do with not shipping items out from China until there is enough to practically fill the boat. I'm sure the boat doesn't leave China until there are as many pieces as they can fit which probably causes the 4-5 items at once.

Fortunately, as none of the current releases appeal to me - I only collect the statues now and only ones that don't look like they've cut corners - so the impact on me is minimal.

As I stated previously, it is more the fact that the line has ended and it appears that SS are just knocking them out as fast as they an, presumably so that they can move on to bigger and better things.

Frankly the gormless Pippin wouldn't make it on my shelf if SS gave it to me, which it appears has been a recent policy as sales and Galadriel doesn't float my boat - looks likes Arwen Part 2.

I think Galadriel looks stunning, with all the detail in her dress, so I'm keeping her on order to see what I think in person.
You're right, everyone, it's not SSW's fault it's my fault for wanting everything. Oh well, problem solved, and maybe for the better.

Jon, there isn't really anything wrong with wanting everything. Heck, most of us are here in that leaky boat! It just takes a little perspective when the going gets tough (or when the polystone starts flooding). You can still want it all, but the unfortunate reality is that you probably won't be able to have it all. The choice has to be what you are willing to do without.

Look at it this way. How we deal with such decision points are what builds character. And a bigger bunch of characters you'll never find than around here!
