$5 extra is nothing for something like this item. That is sure a prefered price over say Ebay. For those going to the con, you have to factor in admission, hotel and gas costs!

I do not mind if SS makes some profit on this line! Heck, I want to see the Star Wars line run for a long time.

$5 ???

Who cares? Isn't it worth it alone just for the convenience of not having to wait in line to get your's? Or, let's say you HAD to be at SDCC to get one? And, you weren't going...You'd be strapped to getting one on eBay for I guarantee more then $5.

For a measly $5 more even the people who aren't going, can get one. And, not worry about having to pay an arm and leg to get one.

I don't get it. You can give someone a brand new 2007 GMC Yukon (worth $50,000) and fill it up with gas...

And, you'd still have people complaining that you filled it up with regular and not premium.

Who's bitching Josh? Someone asked why they are a few bucks more and many, including me, pointed out that the Attendees get a break because they pay for the ticket and make the effort to go. All I said was the regular price is probably worked into the Attendee Edition, most likely because that is the majority (90% of the items sold) I never once bitched about the price never have before and never will. You need to cool out, man.

And I agree about $5, who really cares as long as you have the opportunity to order one if you can't make it?

You complained that the Eye change and base didn't justify the $5 increase and I'm sorry but your post comes across as whining. I simply pointed out that there was more to it than that why the NA is more.

I think you MIGHT wanna take your own advice on cooling out since you complained about why it was more and about the servers.

It wasn't a complaint, it was an observation and there is a huge difference. That's why SDCC Ani is probably priced the same as the Reg and Ex Anakin ($55) same outfit, same headsculpt, same accessories. Changes are only eye paint (not a big deal in a mass production paint apps line) base and box, still a great price for non-attendees and NO-ONE was bitching about that, certainly not me as you say.

Yeah, Servers are a problem, and hundreds if not thousands of collectors are justifiably concerned about it with Bigger items on the way, Darth, Fett, Maul, etc. Letting Sideshow know of those concerns so they can be remedied before it becomes a larger problem is what this forum is all about!

As far as what your post was I say whatever. Don't really care to be honest. I got mine and as long as most folks where happy I'm happy.

I don't think they need to see posts on a message board to know that servers blowing up is gonna be bad if that happens when Maul, Vader, etc go up. Chris, Dusty, Chicky, etc are all real smart they don't need you pointing it out.

:D

Sideshow has the right to charge more for non-attendees if they want. I am okay with pay $5 more since I am not going to the show and still want one. But they shouldn't call it a 'processing fee,' since that is not what it is. Sideshow has to process all the orders, don't they? We should pay more because they are mailing them? It is understood that non-attendees will have to pay for shipping anyway. So what are we paying for? If they are charging more for non-attendees, they should just tell us that and not call it a 'processing fee.' They should give the attendees a price break. That is all it is.

You still don't get it, this has been a problem since Luke and Obi-Wan and when it is corrected I will agree with you. Just looking out for my fellow collectors who are concerned (customers comments about these concerns are posted everywhere, SSC site, here, etc.). Maybe it's just too expensive to invest in a lot of new server hardware for relatively few Priority Pre-orders, I don't know but it hasn't been corrected yet.

And thanks for your comment about not caring to be honest when you comment on others. I'll leave your words as the last word.

Believe me I get it. If anyone doesn't get it then that falls on you. There have been very little issues since early on because they added new servers. People may not have been getting in 30 seconds but waiting like 5 mins is nothing.

Ok whatever. Like I said I don't care what your post was about. I still say it was a complaint.

I was able to get every exclusive so far so its been fine for me... and I know a lot of other people have gotten them all as well so no matter how many "problems" they have with the servers people are still getting them just fine.

you've got to be f'n kiddin me.

I bought a brand new Sebring about 5yrs ago. I told the sales manager the price I wanted. Tried to walk out twice and finially he offered me a price $5 within what I asked for. I threatened to walk again. he said "Dont argue with me over $5." I said "Dont argue with ME over $5." and laughed.
He won.

and 5yrs later I realised he was right. ... :monkey1

C'mon .... $5 .... :monkey1

Oh my goodness!!! What did they do to the Care Bears??? I only recognize one...Love a Lot, the pink one with two hearts. The one with the trophy is supposed to be champ bear I suppose but champ bear is a brownish-orangish caramel type color, not BLUE!!! Oh, umm, I liked the care bears alot when I was little...

And to throw in my own two cents, They say its because of processing, but all orders are processed, the 5 dollar increase isn't actually due to that unless there is something more difficult given that its for SDCC. I'm not so arrogant as to say that I can't be wrong, so naturally I could be way off base and the extra 5 bucks is needed for that. Now if a profit is being made with regular Anakin at 55.00, and the only change is an eye paint job and a different base, then I question the need to raise the price an extra 5 bucks due to R&D. Again, that could be the case, getting those eyes to come out right coulda been a helluva job. To me the bottom line is, it's capitalism, and if sideshow wants to charge 5 bucks more and people buy it that's what the system is all about. Supply is obviously much smaller than demand and they can raise the price if they want. I don't want this to be misconstrued as a complaint, I'm just calling it like I see it. Sideshow could charge a hundred dollars for the figured and I wouldn't complain...I wouldn't buy it, but I wouldn't complain.

(Stunned silence...)

So technically, non-attendees that don't live in California are paying less than attendees. Not including shipping of course. :D
