I like that song except for the ending where he sounds like he's screaming over the music.

As for the lyrics, times have changed, though here in Ohio 16 is legal and I know quite a few girls who married or dated much older guys at that age. I know one that has been married for 35 years to the same man. She was 14 and he was 22 when they started dating (supervised). I'm betting the girls who are 14 now knew more than she did back then. They didn't marry till she was 18.
