Well this kinda pisses me off. I bet a Gozer would sell well.

So I guess I'll have holes in the set. No second Scoleri bro., no Ray and Egon Courtroom figures, and no Gozer and Terror Dogs...

Thanks Matty! You ____!

I just bashed Ray and Egon Courtroom with extra heads and using Peter's buck... not screen accurate, but good enough for me.
Used the extra Egon body for a customized Louis on GB getup with the extra head from Vinz.
I also have the NECA Terror Dogs and Gozer... so no worries there...
if you can score them, do it! They are amazing!

I really hope the "Thank you" gift is Tony Scoleri...

Any pics? I'd love to see them to see if it'd be worth me trying to do it myself.

You guys do understand that they had to reuse parts heavily for the variants which is the only way they could afford a couple newly tooled figures each year. Toyguru said that was one of the reasons they didn't get into RGB and also the movie characters were more recognizable and popular. If they couldn't sell enough, no way would RGB sell more to afford all the unique tooling.

No the best pic, one from early on in my collection of GB figures!

Yeah those terror dogs and Gozer... crazy ass prices on eBay. I'm a die hard GB fan but nearly $400 for two terror dogs is nuts. :slap

Is that how much they're going for nowadays?
Wow!! :horror!
Just before the Mattel line they were going for about $100.00 ea

I'm glad I got them for $25.00 something when they were first released... :yess:

I'm not making an argument that Matty should continue with a line they are losing money with, but how do they know that this is true, when we're talking about 6" figures? Many collectors are nostalgic not just for old film properties, but old toys. The old 6" GB toys from the '80s were from RGB, not movie Ghostbusters. It seems very possible to me that 6" figures could be as or more popular than movie versions because of that.

I have a few of those Terror dogs opened/packaged from Back then.
The Neca sculpts would still "kick Mattels ***" if they ever made them.

I stopped collecting the Mattel GB line after I received all four GB and the two Slime Blowers. Never in my wildest dreams did I want a Walter Peck, RTBY, Courtrooms. Was going to but Vinz but he turned out to cartoonish.

The only way I would revisit GB is if NECA did them in a 7 inch scale.

Ghostbusters™ Stay Puft Marshmallow Man Figure Refunds Offered

May 17, 2012

Ghostbusters™ Customers,

Hopefully, the vast majority of you have been enjoying the giant Stay Puft Marshmallow Man figures we offered here at MattyCollector.com and San Diego Comic-Con last year. After an exhaustive investigation into the issue of why some of the figures are yellowing, here’s what we’ve discovered:

The Stay Puft Marshmallow Man figure was fully tested and approved prior to being offered for sale. The figure passed all standard product tests, as well as a specialized test specific to the new foam material used. The yellowing some figures have experienced didn’t appear until a number of months after the product's release. The yellowing is due to an unforeseen chemical reaction between the paint and material used in its construction.

Because we stand 100% behind the products we sell, we’re offering full refunds to any customer who would like to return their defective figure. We’re sorry but we won’t be able to offer exchanges. We will, however, gladly refund the original price for figures purchased either at MattyCollector.com or our booth at San Diego Comic-Con, as well as refund the original cost of shipping for figures shipped from MattyCollector.com. And in both cases, the cost to return the product to our warehouse will be covered by us.

If you would like a refund, here’s what to do:

I didnt realise this was a problem, and they want the defective stay puft back? :lol But you can keep the cardboard, oh boy! :lol

If they truely stood behind their products they'd be making a new batch to send out to people that weren't defective. I remember that company did it with those Bioshock metal Big Daddies and that had to have cost far more then some foam stress reliveiver Mattel is charging 10 times more for. Glad I just got the 4 busters and bailed out of the rest of this overpriced crap. Put stuff up for one day and then complain no one buys it, far out.

I've had mine out of the box since day one, no yellowing.
I'm sure it has to do with temperature and sun exposure...
The only issues with mine are a couple of dents, since the material is so soft... but other than that, it's still in great condition...
I might send it back at the first signs of yellowing though and buy the new upcoming japanese bank Stay Puft

Sure would've been nice if a company like Hot Toys or Enterbay had gotten the license to Ghostbusters instead of Mattel. I loved those crappy, cartoony little 6 inch figures they made in the '80s, but now it'd be nice to get something of higher quality, especially at the prices they charge (at least for the 12" figs).
