They're 10 years old but they're still very cool-looking figures. I'm eager to see what NECA can do with the characters.

They were great at the time. I remember modding my Celtic by burning claw marks into the mask.

That's cool. One thing's for certain - they'll be a lot more accurate. And hopefully Chopper gets made in the same scale, unlike the one in the McFarlane playset.

Those McFarlane AvPs were in the same style as the Predator 2's they made....which are laughable compared to NECA's newer figure. So I expect NECA's new AvPs will piss on the McFarlane ones from a great height.

Come to think of it I think all the McFarlane Preds look really awful now. Loved the P1 at the time but even that hasn't aged well. The P2s, I tolerated, because there was nothing else but man those bodies were ridiculous looking, the masks inexcusably wrong, the dreads were...well, dreadful.

They were awesome...a dozen years ago. My little brother had the City Hunter and I thought it was a great figure. But again, this was many years ago.

Not a fan of the ab or bicep joints. They just aren't needed on the Predators.

They were stylized...and then some. Todd apparently didn't very much care. NECA places a much greater emphasis on movie accuracy.

As silly as some of the variants are, I just love the preds and will continue to support the line. I know they reuse the molds and all that, but didn't they do that with the actual preds in the movies too?

Agreed! I have one with, as far as I can tell, perfect netting. This was NECA at its best, it could stand on a shelf with HT and EB and hold its own.

It's a shame they felt that was the best they could achieve. I was hoping they would push on and try and better themselves and keep on improving.

In my opinion NECA's 1/4 closed mouth P1 was and probably will always be the best Predator they make.

One of the reason's I am in no rush for HT's to produce a P1. Captured the look to a tee!!

I have the 1/4” closed mouth p1 and masked City Hunter to represent my “classic” Predator line.
