Weird how I never saw the movie star turtles as a kid and if I did I?d of gone crazy. I loved the 90s film so much. Still do. And yes those playmates turtles were awful

Actually, I remember going to a toy store and being blown away by the details of the playmate movie figures in the early 90's. :lol The texture, spots, and long bandanas were a real surprise and shockingly movie accurate at the time.

The playmate movie figures from a few years ago were a total disappointment tho. :slap

The Movie Star figures were certainly a delight and one of the closest cases of a toy matching the movie for it?s time, no doubt, I loved them, had Mikey, Donnie, Splinter, Super Shredder and Toka & Razar. I remember even as a kid knowing Super Shredder wasn?t quite like the movie.

Playmates tried to recycle from their cartoon figures as much as possible and they just felt like alternate cartoon versions. Between the first releases being 1/4 scale and the first go of 7? being the expensive SDCC box set, I never imagined I?d own NECA, so glad for the GameStop deal, and looking forward to Shredder shipping.

I had Donnie posted up high on a detolf. I thought his feet holes being secured to pegs on a custom base would be enough to hold him, but his ankles weakened over time and he tipped off the detolf. Here is the whole figure:

Your best bet is to do some reconstructive surgery. This isn't unfixable but it'll take some work.
The idea is to replace those plastic pegs that snapped with metal screws. You'll want to drill out the old pegs and screw in some... screws... to replace them. You'll want the heads to fit into the old holes, so it takes some engineering and creativity, but it can be fixed.

Best solution is quality 3D print. I fixed my problem like that.

Did you try going on twitter and sending Neca a message? They are actually pretty good lately with replacing my damaged or broken Neca
product. All I did was message their customer service, sent them a picture of the issues and they sent me a replacement.

I didn’t even have to send them back the broken figures in some situations

Oh wow. No. I will try that.
Edit: looks like they don?t receive messages there. I guess I could just tweet it and tag them.

I keep my turtles on low detolfs so they don?t fall from high heights. Don?t want them to break
