Looks wise, EB is clearly the winner, but it's also like 5x the price or something right? When it comes to bang for your buck, it's NECA easy. No question about it. NECA's is also probably more sturdy.

The Joker and Affleck aren't terrible. They definitely have their flaws (especially Affleck), but they aren't terrible. And these aren't $300 figures. Part of the entire appeal of this line is the low price point of $100 and the size. You can't have everything for $100. Now if these were like $200 a piece it would be a completely different story. For me, Affleck and Joker are acceptable for the price, but quite often NECA goes above and beyond with most of them like the AK and BB Bats.

Yeah... And the thing is most of the time they use the same sculptors on thier Batman's... Kyle Windrix who sculpted Predator,Alien, and 89 Batman. Also sculpted Affleck...

Re: Neca 1/4 scale batman begins batman

"Terrible" might be a hyperbole at best, but it works just the same as the opposite of it that is "spot on". Spot on DOES NOT require even the tiniest tweaking on the sculpt, be it minor cutting, some gluing, and pressing to fix the elongated head. Spot on are the likes of Arkham Knight and Arkham Origins head, their BR Penguin, as well as their unmasked Jungle Predator head. You see, some people give credit to where the credit is due, regardless if these are by different or same sculptors. And it's NECA themselves who have shown us what they're capable of even way back when their 1/4 scale figures were cheaper than $100. So if they show us a $100 figure and some people are not happy with the likeness, proportion, or overall figure -- it's not always an attack, it's frustration that goes for a reason and that reason is because we know NECA can do better. If you want to justify it being "only $100" and "not as expensive as the others", go ahead and send NECA a message that their declining or at least inconsistent quality is okay because it's "just $100".

This Batman Begins figure I would have no problem calling "very good". If I don't have the Enterbay on my shelf this would be an easy buy. Now their Batffleck I don't like one bit. If some of you guys find it "spot on" then more power to you, but let others tell it as they see it.

We're all fans here, just not everyone wants to swallow whatever they serve on the plate.

Re: Neca 1/4 scale batman begins batman

This is by no means perfect but it's better than I figured it would be. In fact I think it's actually really good. IMO if you look at their previous 1/4 offerings it's a mixed bag especially on movie super heroes. Their Superman being one of the worst representations of that movie. When this was announced I had little hope for it but I think it's turned out perfect for the going rate. I think it will be better served as a 7 inch figure like their Joker tho because this suit has never been done properly in that scale.

I actually look forward to their Dark Knight suit version now.

Re: Neca 1/4 scale batman begins batman

BB bat looks so good but Batfleck is poorly made. WTF with inconsistance on their sculpt department

Re: Neca 1/4 scale batman begins batman

Dont think is a fair comment. If you have seen the Ben Affleck Batman figure in person. It looks rather impressive

Figure is well worth the price and love that cape

Re: Neca 1/4 scale batman begins batman

What a fantastic figure. Very through review as usual, toys210! I took some screenshots from your review, and I consider these the moneyshots. The likeness is so well done that alone makes the figure worth it and a great alternative to Enterbay.

Getting a DIY cape for this won't be expensive too as good velvet fabrics can easily be found. Recommended to those who maybe want a longer and wider cape. BTW, cape goes OVER the cowl in the movie, unless that's your preference :)

I'm a bit confused what do you mean the cape goes over the cowl?

Here's a back shot of Bale's suit without the cape. You can see the cowl extending down his back. In the film, that triangular bottom goes under the cape, not over top of it.

I think I will glue down his chest to the abs part. It looks best in museum pose to me.

Re: Neca 1/4 scale batman begins batman

Wow what a headsculpf by Neca, great job!

The Neca belt is the only thing that is just ok BUT lets not forget that stock Enterbay belt rode too high, it also required a mod to look right.
