I lurk here a lot (tons of awesome figures). I don't post often because I really have not completed a new figure in almost 2 years. I just like to stop by drool over the pics when I can. Today I was organizing some old photos and Thought I would share my Joe and Cobra bashes. Most of these were done 2-5 years ago and are long gone now but they were fun at the time. Mostly low end stuff power team, and gi joe. The newest part is the Sideshow head on my Cobra Commander.

Alot of cool stuff there, I really like the thigh bomb attachment on Firefly, it looks just like the original artwork. Also, pretty cool OG13 shirt styke on the guy with the unpainted sculpt. I've considered trying to do that to some modern unifroms for that original look, where'd that come from?

I had those shirts made a few years ago by project ARE customs. They are pretty nice. I have several of them so if you want one PM me.
Thanks for the kind words everyone!

Thanks, I may take you up on that. I've been on the wall for months about doing some customs and not sure if I wanna have my guys 80s accurate or make them fit more with the characters I've already got, but that old school Joe shirt is nice. I really like your attention to detail, I see new things everytime I look through your pics.:clap

Whats the story on the dredlok guy?

The dreadlock guy is based on a Cobra character called Shadow Tracker. He was a 3 3/4 figure from the Pursuit Of Cobra line a couple of years back. I thought he looked cool so I made a mock up of him but never totally finished it.

I googled him, looks pretty spot on. That was a good release of figs, he released in the wave with Moneybags Destro and Lowlight. I am surprised I'd never seen him before.

Really cool bashes, Quick kick does stand out for me as one of your best, but you really have a lot of good customs there! I recognize a lot of the parts used, even the soldiers of the world stuff like the shirt on your shipwreck, you must have been collecting a long time like me. I got started in the early 90's with the hall of fame gijoes!

Just noticed the Bunny ears... great pic & love your troopers!

When I was taking that pic it reminded me of an elementary school class photo so I threw the bunny ears in. I used all different head sculpts under the masks so they would be diverse. thanks

I've watched Joecrazy's stuff for a long time, and even have some parts for a figure that came from him. He's being modest, because if I remember right, he made all of the ninja outfits. I've always thought he did great work, especially with the materials he used. I hve the class picture, Roadblock, Overkill, and Major Bludd pics saved as reference pics. These are great figures!

BTW, I know people are looking for accurate green shirt helmets. He sculpted the one on the unpainted green shirt. That is a helmet worth a custom cast...

Good catch, I was so enamored with the shirt, I totally missed that. You're right, he is way too modest about this collection, its great. I'd love to see a group shot.

Thanks SF, yeah I sewed the ninja suits (EF those boots were a pain),Cobra Commander suit (helmeted), greenshirt pants, and most of the mask and gloves. The ninja swords I made and are real metal. I sculpted the CC faceplate, the trooper kneepads, and the green shirt helmet. I was thinking about molding that joe helmet but I need to make sure it fits on sideshow heads. What is the most generic sized sideshow head?

If you are casting the helmet, maybe look at Duke or Hawk to size the sculpts. RnR would work too.

Gonna bump this thread one more time, because I just remembered that joecrazy made hands for cloth gloves with a neat but cheap technique. I'm going to get him to post that technique here. It may not be for everybody, but it may help some folks.

I used it on this figure...
