Mezco One:12 Collective - Evil Dead 2 - Ash

Huh, so our choice is either a young Billy Crudup cosplaying as Ash for $80 or Bruce Campbell as Ash with Evil Ed two pack for $50, it looks to me like Neca is the better deal.

I have literally every Evil Dead toy that’s ever been made and I’ve never been less-enthusiastic about one before this was revealed. I kinda hate that I have to get it to maintain my complete ED collection. I’m dreading buying the regular version and I shudder to think of buying the easy bloody and sepia variants they could crap out with minimal effort.

That upcoming NECA set is much more exciting, has a second figure, has 3 portraits that actually look like Bruce Campbell and will cost half as much.

I’m a big Ghostbusters fan and they dropped the ball on those too.

This is a great figure, it's almost like having a mini version of the SSC Ash Williams. Head sculpts aren't dead on but still pretty good for this scale, soft goods look and feel really great. I like the deadite head but doesn't belong with this particular look in the film as that happened before the chainsaw hand and harness, etc. I'd kinda rather they included a headsculpt with the white streak of hair, helps it double as an Army of Darkness figure. Love the wet look to the blood on the alternate head, articulation is solid, accessories fit well in hand. The Henrietta head and possessed hand with middle finger are really great, make for nice display pieces but are somewhat pointless. Wish the base and hand were magnetized so it could stand up, or at least have a peg hole so we could peg it to the base. Still, really great, it's great just right out of the box, needed very little futzing.

I futzed with my Ash for a little more accuracy. Mezco placed the shotgun Sheath on wrong on all of these, so I fixed that aswell as adding the torn collar. Figure is great and worth getting

Man, that ripped collar adds so much to it. Looking over mine I only notice certain things being off, didn't even think about the collar. Great mods, shotgun holster bugged me too but I'll leave it as is. Would have been nice if the whole rig was removable, would make it easier to mod the holster but would also probably end up being a pain.
