Why are there so few Samus statues out there? Only ones I have seen that weren't action figures were the 2 from First4Figures.

Because Nintendo has historically been really stingy with their licenses. They have become more open recently so you can get a Max Factory statue of Zero Suit Samus now.

lol funny you mentioned that one. The Max Factory classic suit Samus is the one I bought cause I couldn't find any Varia suit First4Figures on Ebay or anything.

Gravity Suit (f4f)
Varia suit (f4f)
Phazon suit (f4f)
Gunship 1 & 2 (f4f)
Zero suit (ex & reg, f4f)
Zero suit (max factory)
Varia suit (max factory)
Baby metroid 1/1 (zoomoth)
And quite some older action figures and pvcs but those are impossible to find

The Max Factory Zero Suit is the best one. I believe the Figma goes for a lot these days. The ideal would be a statue of Samus getting in the suit. Or with her helmet off like some artwork I've seen.

The Zero Suit Samus is a 12" PVC statue

The Varia suit is a 6" articulated figure.
