Re: Medicom Dark Knight Batman - Photo Thread

I still love my medi Batman - it has a lot of mods (face and eye repaint, wool stuffed in neck, head slightly widened, belt replaced with HT version, cape replaced with custom version). But the end result is pretty epic and compares quite well with the DX. The head sculpt has a lovely roundness to it which is quite accurate and missing from the DX.

Re: Medicom Dark Knight Batman - Photo Thread

nope, imo the suit seems more durable than the dx... but then again i hardly pose any of my figures in any extreme poses.
yup i agree, the suit on medicom looks more lasting than the DX.. hope it can withstand the test of time.

Re: Medicom Dark Knight Batman - Photo Thread

I love mine too, but he has decided he doesn't want to stand up on his own anymore. Anyone else had problems with the ankles?

Have to say....that head looks better than the DX right there. Never thought i would say that. :monkey1

Re: Medicom Dark Knight Batman - Photo Thread

The suit is more accurate too, the real costume wasn't made of rubber.

I might have to buy another one of these so I can attempt the awesome mods that the other guys here have done.

Especially now that it seem getting a DCD DX is going to be impossible *sigh*

sorry to ask abt medicom batman original suit here, bt does anyone owns this fig? it does not seems very popular as compared to the TDK ver.... i like the neck though as it looks more accurate as compare to HT version.
anyone got a review?

Sanzo, the Medicom "Dark Knight"-branded OS Batman is a great-looking figure, very different from the one they released for "Batman Begins". The head sculpt and paint are first rate, and the suit is made from a durable, non-tacky material.

The only real drawback: He is too small to stand up next to the HT Dark Knight figures. I found a "workaround" for this problem, though: Put him on a T-700 stand and wrap his cape around his ankles.

This is my first time posting pics, and I don't have Photoshop installed on this computer, so please don't judge these pics too harshly....

Re: Medicom Dark Knight Batman - Photo Thread

thanks for the pic plutonic, how is the aticulations on the fig? your pic show clearing the shorter neck and the more expression face of the batman begins, makes me wants it even more now :)

Will these work for modding the chest decals?
https://www.hlj.com/product/HSGTF9
they have free shipping which is pretty good cause the other decals that were used were like $40 through eBay
Looks stunning, Thrust! lforigno's capes really transforms the figure(s). It gives that premium look.

Thats the same paint I have used. https://tinyurl.com/ylqmose

Then to tone down the bronze sparkles and add that subtle matte metal realistic shine. The light sand part. https://tinyurl.com/yf452jq

I can't find the exact carbon fiber/kevlar decals on eBay. https://tinyurl.com/yg4xx2h
The set I used was the same make there, BBR but it was code DEC 26.

The soot part was used to tone down the bright grey and shine on the kevlar while keeping the detail. https://tinyurl.com/ylj5gse
