Yeah, watch the tutorial video I posted. That should help with most of what you need to get started. I'll see if I can find another one.
This is a very teamwork heavy game, so disorganized groups can get stomped pretty easily. Unfortunately, you almost have to use Teamspeak or some other third party VOIP to get the most out of it. Once everything is firing on all cylinders, it's very rewarding.
Also, I'm not sure if you've ever played a MechWarrior game before, but it's not a typical FPS. You are piloting a walking tank, so you need to get the hang of using a throttle, heat management and effective weapon grouping. Once you earn enough money you can customize mechs that you buy.
I dislike how trial mechs are gimped on money and XP rewards. It really doesn't entice new players like you , Shropt, to keep playing.
