Has anyone ever had any negative thing to say in the live SDCC panel? To me it always seems like all the ill will is quickly abated with pictures of pretty new toys.

Your right, everyone becomes mezmerized by the NEW reveals and then forget about the yearly Matty crappy customer service and monthly problems with DR...

too many Josh's and Kuzeh's instead of ones who will open there mouths against the product or have anything negative to say about how things are run

Yes they have! or maybe it was PowerCon where my friend Tobar gave him some stick on a panel.

Folks are much braver on a keyboard!

Yeah at Power Con there was one guy who said a little, but it wasn't enough to make a difference....when 2,3 or 4 start asking hard questions, then they will listen

And I don't hold back my opinion when I am with him or when he is on the podcast...which is not easy as you still need to be curtious to a guest who is taking time out to be on the show.

If you put yourself as the face of a brand then you gotta be able to take the good with the bad I think.

I don't understand why they wouldn't just put them all up for early access today. This whole 'limited stock' b.s. is creating more problems than I think the folks at Matty realize. This false scarcity is starting to drive hardcore fans away. They should've just put up all they had. Now its going to be more issues and complaining.

exactly....quit playing musical chairs with people

because in the end,its only going to push customers away

how moronic to play this game with the 2014 Subscription coming in 2 months

It was nice to hear what you said in the podcast about Castle Grayskull. My issues with Castle Grayskull is another reason I've quit the line.

This line has become the joke of the collector world at this point. Its almost as if they go out of their way to make sure its as frustrating as possible to collect this line. I've never seen a toy line that has half as many issues as this one does. How its managed to survive for 5 years is a testament to the hardcore fandom and stubborness of MOTU fans.
Matty will attribute some of this to the sales gimmickry they have employed--making it all online, creating the illusion of rarity over the course of the line by limiting and re-opening the sale of stock, con exclusives, subscription exclusives, Hordack's random appearances, etc. Folks apparently keep buying, so Matty must feel no real incentive to change behavior. As the line gets closer and closer to releasing every figure collectors might potentially want to buy (they're already starting to drain that well dry with the She-Ra characters, cartoon characters, prototype characters, etc.), I think you'll see more and more gimmickry as a way of injecting some form of temporary life into things. Hasbro did this with their Joe line, now making "core" characters available only as pricey club or con exclusives, where you often have to pay for other, less desirable figures in order to get them.

that is one thing I like about you....you seem to be the only one voicing much on that pocast (while I still think you are holding back quite alot)..

I know Val is your friend, but he needs to quit being a Mattel apologist, and lately he has been pretty bad...even his posts on the Org today are defending this whole Hordak situation (what for????)

I gotta say...this figure does not meet the hype

I got mine today (I was the first person to discover this on the whole internet) which is how I got mine

I mostly bought this for the stinkin white crossbow that should of came with my regular hordak to begin with

It's the same with The Hottoycast, I don't wish to make a guests feel cornered or uncomfortable. For better or worse, that's not good listening.

I had some dude giving me stick because I didn't corner Sideshow Manager Brant Bridges on some topics.

guests are not going to answer something they don't want to and pressing them will just make them not come on the show again.

Oh man... the keyboard warriors lining up...
:lol
Seriously guys... as Nintenjoe says... over a toy?
It's so easy to be a tough guy behind your computer, but saying that you would confront ToyGuru at ComicCon... yeah... I'd like to see that... and then laugh at you while the cops escort you out of the convention center... :lol

Hey teemu, you have issues with me?
Don't be a baby OK?...

Ugh... I'm out... this time for good... I'm tired of this ****...
see you! :wave

I have a mental condition and am under a Doctor's care, after slapping him in the face I would go to the hospital, stay for 24 hours, have my Medication checked, and be back on the road to my home within 72 hours.:pfft:

That... depends ENTIRELY on TG's Lawyers.

IF they're good enough, he could get you reclassified as a " Mental pation who poses a significant risk to society" and have you remanded to a psychiactric hospital indefinitely.

"Legetimately Crazy person attacks toy company representivie in public" is what the newspapers would probobly say about it.

The benefits of being a public figure.

:lol Its you who has issues with me ;).I don't know how many times you called my handle out over the years because you don't like what I have to say ;)

Its not about the toy,its about the principle of people wasting their time attempting to buy a toy and that it shouldn't be this hard to obtain.

why would anyone get escorted out by asking a question about quality customer service from Matty, mr. scaredy cat?? and you would laugh too if someone was defending their rights as a customer, who hand over their hard earned money, expecting a quality product and then not being able to obtain it when given the illusion being a subscriber gives you that early access to product.

your just as much as a keyboard warrior as anyone else,so anyway :wave

Yup, and just wait until TG's lawyers find that Youtube video of you shooting a doll head with a shotgun... :rotfl

He was talking about Dollarmanron's comment about wanting to bash Tg's face in, and his being able to get away with it on the case of being a documented mental patient.

Hyperbole (pron.: /haɪˈpɜrbəliː/ hy-pur-bə-lee)

[1] Greek: ὑπερβολή hyperbolē, "exaggeration") is the use of exaggeration as a rhetorical device or figure of speech. It may be used to evoke strong feelings or to create a strong impression, but is not meant to be taken literally.

[2] Hyperboles are exaggerations to create emphasis or effect. As a literary device, hyperbole is often used in poetry, and is frequently encountered in casual speech. An example of hyperbole is: "The bag weighed a ton."

[3] Hyperbole makes the point that the bag was very heavy, though it probably doesn't actually weigh a ton.

Please, if a man can set at his front door and with a rifle, gun down a dozen people in cold blood as they moved toward his house and then only spent ten to fifteen years in a Mental Hospital before being judged safe for society and released, what do you think they really going to do to a person for only smacking another man in the face?

I may have went a little over board in my anger, but your comment is just as lame.

I'm so pissed right now I could knock that bastards teeth out, God Dam-it, I' mad! I need to just walk away for awhile.

Did you even know that this figure (and the brief minicomic appearance it was based on) even existed a week ago? Why is it suddenly such a necessity to own to the point of outrage today?
