Marvel / SHIELD themed play room for our son ***finished***

This is part of a remodel of our 7 year old Son's play room at our house. The main wall that you see when you enter the room will have a giant SHIELD logo painted on it. In the middle of the logo is this photo (him as Kid Coulson, Photoshopped in with the cast of Agents of SHIELD). It will be printed on aluminum and mounted on metal posts to stick out from the wall. His desk will be right below this metal print:

Then around the desk will be four SHIELD Helicarrier control screens.

These are four images I created myself in Photoshop. I'm having them printed on transparent paper. I will mount them to 1/2" thick plexiglass (two are 18" x 12" the other two 14" x 10").

The plexiglass will be mounted to the wall using these telescoping brackets:

I'm also trying to figure out if I can light the panels using LED light strips. Not sure if I'll be able to get that to work the way that I want to.

Really cool idea!! I like those "control screens"! Very creative. Can't wait to have a little guy I can do stuff like this for.

Thanks! I have the cut plexiglass and the brackets, just waiting on the LED lights and the printed graphics. I'll be sure to share more photos as I go.

I look for any opportunity to use graphics on backlit plexi. The look is very cool.

Thanks guys....the graphics and LED lights are shipping and we'll get the big SHIELD graphic painted possibly this weekend. Hopefully another week or so and I'll have some good photos for you.

Small update, this is a Photoshopped mock up of what I want everything to look like. The SHIELD logo painted on the wall, the 16x24 metal print in the center with the 18x12 and 14x10 control panels around it.

The graphics are in, we're painting the SHIELD logo this weekend. It's just a matter of putting it all together now.

We're also doing shadow boxes on the adjacent wall, that will have super hero props in them like Cap's helmet and shield, Deadpool's mask, swords and gun, etc.

Plenty of photos to follow when it's all done.

Haha! Awesome! It was a lot of fun doing it. We still have a couple of small additions, but for the most part it's done now.
