CRAP! I was set to preorder and like apparently everyone else stopped in my tracks, $240.00!!!!! Crap, I had to check and see if it came with an X-wing too! On a better note, I did get the 1/6th cantina for only $157.00 + free shipping yesterday.

I'm getting a Ron Weasley vibe from that picture....:monkey3

I wonder if Sideshow is noticing the lack of pre-orders already. I imagine the sales spike is usually as soon as a figure goes up, then another spike when it becomes eligible for a coupon two months later!

Now that they have moved PF's into the $400+ range they need something to fill in the old PF Price range in the $300 area... Looks like it's going to be their 1:6 figure's :(

I will say if they can produce the production pieces to look just like the prototype it might be worth it.... but that's a pretty big might...

I am sure that everyone remembers those threads of "price creep"...heh! Yeah pretty crazy price.

But maybe because it is a SSC Exclusive?

Doesn't make senses since the 212th is also an exclusive but is the same price as other clones.

Anywho...pretty crazy. And not in a good way.

Can't wait until HT unveils their Vader...at $400 or something outrageous like that.

Sideshow took what for me was the best thing from SDCC and **** all over it

Thanks $ide$how :pfft:

Man, threezero is a breath of fresh air with their $130-$160 shipped GoT figures. Even if they do make the ugliest hands in the industry. :lol

These prices are only strengthening my resolve to leave movie/pop culture figures behind and go all out WWII/historical figures. Is licensing that much? I honestly don't know. DID/3R puts out top notch figures that are equally nice as HT and they come chock full of accessories, sculpts and extra outfits for $120-$140.

I just cannot justify to myself $240 plus $25 shipping for Pilot Luke unless they tossed in a Sixth scale X-Wing cockpit for him to display in.

In all seriousness, I think it's time. I can't justify this kind of spending anymore. There cometh an hour for everything, and as awesome as all these figures look, I think it's time to part ways. I just looked at my pre-orders and it's over to a thousand dollars.

I'm thinking the same thing man, after like the Delorean and BD Robo. I may have to cash in my chips and leave this casino just when I was coming back to collecting 1/6th figures, nope it was a good run.

Head over the the facebook announcement and see if we can pick up some more steam as my post seems to be getting some attention at least. Social media is always a place they don't want people talking negatively about anything. Trust me, I deal with social media control and customer service for my job and damage control can change a companies direction.

They just priced me out. Bossk had more at $169. They want, after shipping, almost an extra $100. Why? Becausr you actually tried on the sculpt? No. Hot Toys wouldn't even get that amount from me for such a lacking figure.
