I don't really care about the logo anymore. I don't feel like spending any more money. Problem with this hobby is you get in a competition to beat or reach others and with yourself, trying to obtain as close to perfection as possible, that's cool but it also drains your wallet and I'm not rich

Sometimes you just gotta say, well this is good enough i can live with this, no need to chase perfection

Where in that post am I criticizing the tots doll? Read again. If anything I’m praising it for having a vinyl head.

The original good guy at hard rock cafe has dark skin now, probably because it was made of resin.

Just saying why spend thousands on something made of resin that can yellow and get damaged easily.

When it comes to hand made ones, the sfxstudios doll is the superior doll because head is made of vinyl and not poly foam body.

Oh yea. I've been seeing Mods all over now.
People personalizing their Dolls which is Great and what this Hobby is about!
Some switched out the sweater for a more baggier look, Saw one with a more glossy face, Custom paint jobs, Voice box insertions, etc.

The voice box in there only records up to ten seconds. I bought one that can record multiple files but I need to use my PC to get the files on there and it doesn’t support my OS. If I get it to work I might switch em out.

Do you have any tips/recommendations on applying the glossy finish to the doll?

I used an acrylic gloss varnish and applied a few coats with a brush evenly over the entire head. Then I went over it again with a couple coats of matte varnish to give it a semi-glossy look.

Garret now selling a $20 smaller voice box that can store 1 file.
It dont need to be put into body as its slim enough to go in the clothing but still $20 for 1 line is a bit much.

Huge rip off. Those one file voice boxes are super cheap.
