Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

about the body, yesterday I made very a quick attempt with a DX07 Luke's Hot Toys narrow shoulder body (no feet, it is very early)
and a pop toys suit, and I am pretty happy how it turned out... I can update with bigger pics later.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Very very nice!!
What I'm after ideally is a necked equivalent of the DID body as I want to use that suit. If anybody has a suggestion (or better still a comparison) I'd love to hear it...

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Indeed - bargain too.
Would this have done also? Its described as a 'knock off TTM 19'

TTM-19.jpg

I'll be gutted if so as it just sold for £20...

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

That bod looks good - Might it be too slight, however?

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Right you are. Would love to see that bod next to a DID for size comparison just so I know the tux would work orrrrrrrrrr are there better tux's out there do you think??

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Feeling convinced about the TT more and more having seen this -

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

A more realistic nude body has nothing to do with a more realistic 'appearing' body under 1/6th scale clothing that doesn't hang the way real 1/1 scale clothes do. You're likely to get either a very bulky Craig if the suit is loose, or if the suit is tight then it may not even fit properly and pull and bunch in odd places.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Thanks for that - very interesting!!
It does seem (having researched it a little now) that the TTM seems to be the go-to body for this kind of bash across the board. Craig is indeed 5'10" and defined rather than stocky (regardless of the nasty pic above lol) so I think the Modern Life sculpt will click on nicely. The DID tux is my out and out favourite though so I just wonder if they're compatible before I shell out the coin...

Always the risk.

But what Craig are you trying to make? Not a Casino Royale Craig with the DiD tux? He didn't have a shawl collar in Casino but the DiD has one.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

This is true -
However I'm interested in making the ideal Craig Bond rather than a movie-specific one. As the Modern Life seems to be a portrait somewhat Pre-Skyfall and post Quantum with the DID suit seemingly being the best (and that PPK - wow) Its perfectly conceivable the shawl collar (in black, not blue) was standard wardrobe in the long gap between movies...

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Well I have several and the DID is indeed my favorite in terms of realism. I'll get the modern life head too, but won't choose a body until I have this in hand. One body with a neck you might consider too is KP01. It has a seamless neck and a smaller frame than TTM 19, but the color is sort of yellowish. It's best to wait because one thing you have to take into consideration, and you won't know for sure until you have it in hand, is the final color of the painted head. A mismatched color can sometimes be one of the most distracting element in a fig!
