The likeness isn't 100% I agree, but it's cool that someone finally made a tramp figure. As far as the expression, and I'm only going on memory here, that's usually the tramp's normal expression.

Well...finally received my Chaplin figure today

Now I gotta call Alter Ego in the morning and resolve this....first time buying from them too which is unfortunate....always heard great reviews from them...must be my luck.

On a side note....great packaging by Iminime! Wooden box and everything!

Alter Ego has great customer service in my experience. Figure looks pretty good, but doesn't blow me away. I like classic movie characters though, and it doesn't get much more classic than Chaplin.

Well I contacted AE and the process has been started...sucks they told me they have none in stock so I have to wait...again...to have this figure.

Agreed. I kinda like it and it's not too expensive....but the likeness is just lacking. I think it would always bother me. With Chaplin I wouldn't need 100% dead on likeness but I'd want it close than this. Chaplin is a legend and a genius and deserves better. Regardless, I can see why people want this. It looks like a lot of fun and it's not too hard on the wallet.

I'd like to see one done of The Great Dictator.







The globe would be a must. The scene where he's doing that little ballet with the globe is nothing short of a masterpiece. Maybe a podium with a bendy microphone too.

While I love the Great Dictator and would be down for seeing him in 1/6 I think it would have to be something to see first and think about. Something even remotely resembling Hitler, even in mockery or jest, may be hard to own.

Not that it would be made anyway.

I fully agree with you two. I'd like to have a 1:6 Chaplin next to my Blu ray/DVD collection, and was looking forward this, especially with the great price, but I just don't like the sculpt at all.
Ideally, I would also want the whole figure to be in black and white.

I dont really like the current Chaplins out there so Im still waiting for THE one. Earlier last month, I remember Denny Kim mentioned on his FB that him and Iminime are working on two new HS for Chaplin. I hope this is still in development.
