I bought my first imac laptop last week and still trying to adjust to it. I choose it because it is 13" and very thin and easy to use during travelling. However, I realize that I can't use normal PC games on it :D

I am looking to by some 3D action games or other types. ANyone using IMAC and playing games, can advise me which shall I buy>

Currently I am considering SW- KOTOR, LOTR ROTK only. But I can buy some new alternative games if there will be suggestions
thanks

No such thing as an iMac loptop. Just the Mac Book and Mac Book Pro.
As for games I play a lot of Halo multiplayer and sometimes Call of Duty 2.

Eli26 is correct, if you have a laptop, you don't have an iMac. You probably have a macbook or an iBook. All are great computers, welcome to the world of the mac!

The company that ports the majority of PC games to the mac is called Aspyr, check them out here: https://www.aspyr.com/

Be warned that a lot of mac RTS games won't network with their Windows counterparts for whatever reason.

Blizzard almost always makes mac versions of their games simultaneously with the Windows versions: https://www.blizzard.com/

Laptops aren't the greatest gaming devices, so make sure you check system requirements. Aspyr has an application you can download that will tell you just how well their various games will run on your machine.

If you have a macbook or a macbook pro (the ones with the new intel dual core processors) you could always boot to Windows when you want to do some gaming. This will require you to have a Windows disc handy and to download the beta version of bootcamp from apple: https://www.apple.com/macosx/bootcamp/

congrats on the purchase gambit!!! im getting my new macbook this friday after i get off of work. im looking forward to diving into the macworld and leaving windows far behind. unfortunately, i've read that unless you have bought the macbook pro your gaming experiences in the portable world will be limited.

try to get half-life 2 to get Counter-Strike: Source. It's the most played game on the internet, one of my favs as well (been playing it since around '99). Halo 2, like others suggested are great. Battlefield 2 is good for your internet war games. Age of Empires III is a great strategy game, you can check that out. World of Warcraft is great if you want it to suck your life away :lol :lol Quake 4 is an older game, but one I still play. As you said, KOTOR and KOTOR II are great games, rumor has it that a KOTOR III is coming, so you should probably play those two (regarding the KOTOR series, expect about 15-20 hours for Light and Dark to complete each KOTOR game, if you don't have that time, you shouldn't really play the game).

I have a PC, so I don't know if you can get these on Macs...

I'll get in crap, but iBook doesn't exist anymore. Apple calls their laptops MacBook and MacBook Pro now. hehe

Don't kill the messenger! I hate when they make these name changes.

thanks for all responses, I have added to my mac knowledge so many things starting with I shall call it mac book :)

Mine is not pro and I am not sure about graphics,
it is 2G, 13" 60 GB HDD, DVD writer..etc.

I am travelling a lot and I wanted something small to use at the airports for internet actually. But after using it and seeing the so many advantages against windows, I decided to try a few games with it as well.

I think I will go with KOTOR, Halo, LOTR ROTK for now.
in the past I played so much half life and games like Call of duty , therefore I am not willing to play the same type again.

it is good to see blizzard is making games for macbook, however, I already finished warcraft and diablo and not willing to spend my nights at world of warcraft :)

aspyr.com is a great site, thanks

hairless, you will love the mac book, especially short cut buttons .etc
I also suggest you to buy a wireless might mouse something :)

finally got around to picking up my new macbook. i ended up getting a black macbook with 1gb of ram, 120gb harddrive, and a wireless mighty mouse, and also command and conquer generals.
