You will see more people doing this with HT figures too. I didn't think much of it until HT released their SW troopers. I feel the need to use gloves or something when handling the white troopers because I fear that oils from my hand might cause yellowing over time. I didn't do this with Medicom troops and they seem to be alright, but the OCD in me kinda wants to use gloves with the HT figures.

But with statues, I don't bother. (Although I only have a handful)
 
I just got my first signed Bowen Statue, and carried it into my Detolf with paper towels. I think my hands were sweating slightly just from nerves. So of course, after ordering jewelry gloves on Amazon, I had to google this topic.

Thank God for fellow Freaks. (And I mean that in the best way possible. :lol)
