Not a big Jackson fan, but that is an excellent figure! Might pick one up just for nostalgia.

Nope. Just one release of the standard TT.

Which means: expect an African American truetype slim body before/around the release of this figure. HT did the same thing with the narrow truetype in anticipation of the DX Joker.

Unless they mass produce the hell outta this, It's gonna be rare and go up$ quick. Non MJ fans will even be buying this, and now with his death even more so. I won't take a chance, when the first person (probably toys2) gets it up i'm ordering.

That's just it. MJ fans, Non MJ fans, Non 1/6 fans, 1/6 fans, people looking to make a buck, etc. etc. will all be clamoring for this. So unless HT really cranks the ^^^^ out of them, i foresee very little cheap or reasonable Thriller MJ's on the net in the future.

This figure will brighten a lot of collections in many ways. Like a dream figure for me. Kinda like Jor-el, never thought i'd see the day.

(maybe i'll get a little halloween theme rollin, also that would be great for HT to release on)

The Zombie head - the sculpt, paint job, weathering on the jacket... is just perfection and I'll be buying it for that alone

but it looks like they changed the regular head from the prototype maybe? It looks more... smiling. And somehow wider on the face? Can't really tell what looks off about it. Don't get me wrong... its still an amazing MJ sculpt... really captures his face... it just doesnt seem as perfect, and 'Thriller video dance pose friendly' as the original pics eyes look smaller, face looks wider.. and he's smiling. But when i look at it (quickly, i'll admit) I can't tell exactly what's changed.

Anyone?

I think you just listed everything that's different.

imho though.. the newer version looks better.

Not sure if this'll make sense but NOW there's a distinction between the "scary" zombie look and the innocent, smiling "normal" MJ sculpt. As opposed to the original leaked pic where both sculpts looked serious.

He didn't mention that the 2 curls of hair in the middle of his forehead aren't the same length.......

I prefer the left one. The eyes seem larger? Darker pupils looking up more.

But both are absolute wins.

I have to say Its bad ass of Hot toys to make it real easy on those who want to display both. By that i mean the only thing we got to do is just buy another body since everything else is included!!!
