Fabricated a Hoth backpack over the last 2 days. Think it turned out pretty well :)

Awesome.:clap I scratch-built a Dengar backpack and was surprised it is much the same as the Hoth backpack - same frame.

Ha, cool :)

I think they "re-purposed" a lot to save time/money. The Endor packs are just the Hoth packs painted green :lol

Frame looks like a lawn chair, or pull cart or something they found to use.

Pretty ingenious how they built stuff back then, and it looked functional.

Wow!! You killed it man! Awesome work, thank you for sharing the progress pics!!

Excellent project! I have a couple times kicked around the idea of trying to make Hoth Rebel Troopers out of Hasbro Luke figues as a starting point. But there is so much work to be done that I have mostly abandoned the idea. Too bad Sideshow never made Hoth Rebels similar to their Endor counterparts. I can't imagine any of the current 1/6 Star Wars companies making them now, a knockoff company is probably the only slim shot.
