Well, I'm really OCD, I can't overlook it since it's on almost all the plates on the back except for the mesh ones. I've already have issues with the plates, scratches and chip on belt buckle and messed up finish on the EMP gun. For $500 I can't accept this. I will contact SS tomorrow and ask for an exchange.

I also have a very minor qc issue on this fig. but as most of them unoticable, so it's no biggie for me.
1. there is white spot behind the armor plates on the back area.
2. the boots have outer layer & inside layer, the they glued it to become one piece. HT didn't do it properly so it has sticky area because of the glue. easy fix I think.
3. behind the kneepad, if you bent it, there's a little torn on the cloth inside the left knee pad area
4. the hole which you insert the cape clip is easily scratch because you have to force the cape clip in & it takes a lot of brute force to do that. thankfully you will always pose batman with his cape / backpack on.
my advice is to cut clip and insert the stock cape right through the hole, just like desisandy did

to be honest, after own this HT batman for a few days, I can't seem to put him down:lol
I change his pose at least once a day & it really tops the Enterbay batman mostly because of awesomeness of the suit I think:panic:

That's amazing to read all that issues for a 500 USD item :gah:

My thoughts exactly! DX12, maybe, but not on a $500 collectible. I'm hoping since I'm so early to have received it, they'll offer a replacement but who knows, I'm really getting worried here but I'll hopefully have an answer by the end of the week! Caution to those still waiting for theirs, inspect everything! I can find dirt in snowstorm and almost every has it's flaw but this is too many!

It sucks that yours come with flaws. Sometimes it just sucks buying straight from Sideshow, if it wasn't for the EX version, I would suggest buying it from retail stores, that way you can check it out before purchase.

Places like CSC lets you check the item first. I normally pick up my regular release stuff from them, and I just check it out to make sure the item is good before purchase.

Anyhow, good luck.

So when does CSC or BBTS going to receive theirs? Anyone from USA or California got the figure yet?

I'm probably in the minority when I say this but I don't think it looks good with the straps from the hands cut off. The gauntlets slides down too far on the arm. Maybe some better pics will change my mind... :dunno

Haven't really had much time to play with this and take photos but here's another pic I took yesterday.

So I thought I'd give some of my thoughts on this figure.

The Bale sculpt looks amazing, so much better in hand. It's not perfect but it's about 95% Bale, much better than any previous mass produced attempt. The cowl looks great, but it's not quite accurate as the Enterbay version. But I prefer the paint job on the HT version and the fact that the eyes are poseable. This gives so much life and pose options to the figure.

The body is very easy to pose and move around. It's not at all as stiff as the EB version. Feels more like a premium quality figure and makes the Enterbay version feel like a cheap toy. I'd be careful handling it though as it is made out of the same easily scratch-able material as the DX12. Gloves are recommended! The same goes for the accessories like the weapons, they scratch easily.

The cape is utter crap. The cape clips would go into the holes but it didn't look right at all so I removed them and forced the cape into the holes. It looks fine for now but I will be looking into custom capes. I'm not sure about Lance's custom cape yet as it isn't folded nicely around the area where you insert the cape into the holes and if you would try it it would look too thick on the shoulders with that kind of material. Perhaps Rory or someone who owns it could tell us if it's a thicker material than the stock cape?

The hands and gauntlets don't go well together, just as with the DX12. Cutting off the edges of the gloves might do the trick but I'm not about to start cutting up an expensive figure like this. :lol I'll let someone else try it first. :monkey3

The base isn't that bad as I said eariler, but it limits the poseability. When I first saw these stands I thought you were going to be able to swap out the top layer, which would have been a great idea. I'll be looking into buying another EB stand or modding this one. Possibly trying to remove the top layer and make a custom one. I have a reg QS001 on PO from the UK so I would have a spare stock stand in worst case scenario.

Overall, this is the best TDK figure made to date. No doubt about it. I prefer it over the EB version. It looks so life-like and realistic, lighting and posing plays a big part in this or otherwise it can look really bad. Lighting from underneath is a bad idea, better have the lighting source from above or from the sides.

About the scale issue with the Enterbay figures, I haven't had time to take them out of their display boxes and compare but I did put the HT version next to them and it didn't look way off. But the EB figures are slightly bigger.

So yeah, this figure receives a 9/10 from me! Best purchase so far this year! I really hope HT decides to make a QS Joker and a BB suit version some day. Judging by this figure they'd look awesome. :)

Really great pics and excellent review very in depth. Hope you can get a chance to take out the EB figures and do a size comparison. BTW will you be displaying this figure with your other 1/4 figures like side by side one or another like how the EB ones are displayed?

Nope, I agree. The elbow area is too exposed when the gauntlets slide down the arm. To do it properly I would say you would have to slice 5mm or so off the wrist on the body. Easy enough to do with a dremmel cutter. But then the arms might look too short. Hard to know.
As it stands it looks like a big gap.
