Just ordered this as my first Star Wars figure :). Got a few other video game collectibles but decided to get a few SW ones as they look awesome!

Does anyone know when the Deluxe version of this figure will be available? I don't see it listed at any of the online retailers.

I got mine yesterday, but it came without the extra hands :(, I contacted SS hopefully I'll get them soon.

I see the Death Trooper Specialist Deluxe up on SS's website now. Is this the same figure that went up for order in September, but with more accessories? Will Sideshow transfer deposits to this version?

Debating if i want this or not. I need to see the movie first to see how much they are in the movie.

You can always try.

I must be getting old because the trooper figures don't interest me any more. :/ I mean, they're cool, but I just don't feel the need to own one. Young me would be all over it though lol.

Heads up! It's listed on Sideshow, along with the non-specialist deathtrooper. I placed my order for both. I saw in this thread folks are just "de-specializing" the one that is soon to come out/already out but I need that rangefinder eye gear these upcoming two have that the other one doesn't have. It just completes the deathtrooper look to me. The pictures in here are looking real nice. :clap

Between this (these), Jyn and K-2SO sticking to OT figures just got a LOT harder.

So for those that have this one, does he look better in hand with or without all that extra back gear?

BTW, you guys with this figure, likely the trooper without the rangefinder will be the more sought after figure in 10 years.

I much prefer the look minus the the ammo/grenade belt. The whole figure looks better proportioned.

Kinda annoying for them to release the deluxe specialist now... The headlamp on that one makes it look better.

I contacted SS customer service and they transferred my deposit and payment plan payments for the regular version over to the new deluxe version. If anyone else wants to upgrade too, I'd recommend shooting them an email.

I like him with all the grenades minus the pauldron. May get the deluxe and just take it off.

Even though I've got two specialists, one without the pauldron, I'm getting a specialist deluxe as well and a regular one too. So when its all said and done I'll have a squad of four death troopers and they will all be a little different from one another.

That's commitment.

What if -- and I'm not saying I know anything -- but what if these hardened troopers have the voices of little schoolgirls? Just suppose. Would you still want 4? Won't they be annoyingly chatty in a girl-pack of four?

Imagine the one holding the white trooper doll saying (in 14 year old girl voice): This is sooooooo cute. I'm keeping him.

So like if they were "plastics"? hahaha :lol
They still look badass! If their voices are like that they're clearly compensating with their appearance.
