Saw the movie tonight. And one of the things that crossed my mind was that there's no need for another DKRises Batman figure from Hot Toys after this one.

As someone on the fence for this release (even though I've pre-ordered it), I think I'll probably be getting it now, as the idea of a Batman figure from each Nolan movie is very appealing, especially if there won't be another, better release after this one.

Ive wanted the DX12 since it's Pre-order release, but had no idea how to afford it. (thought I would win in the casino while I was just on vacation this week, but didn't) and then I remembered that I had ordered Avengers Cap a while ago. So I canceled him and POd Bats!

I think HT should and might finally make a BW figure with two headsculpts including the "retired" version..plus cane...

That'd be awesome. But of course they wouldn't even consider making it because it wouldn't be so popular (read: profitable) compared to other characters.

I am not that familiar with swapping Hot Toys heads but I was just wondering since everyone here hates the cowl, couldn't you just put the DX02 cowl on this figure instead of using the DX 12 cowl?

It's the last batman movie so they are bound to make as much as they can out of it.

We should expect at least 1 Bale figure, 1 more Bane figure, possiblly 2 Selina Kyle figures and

1 Talia figure and 1 Blake figure. They might even go on to make other characters or even more versions of the characters above.

Then they might decide to make the camo tumbler but with the cannon. There are a lot of possibilities for Hot Toys here, I'm sure they won't miss the chance to exploit it.

Well. we're talking about Hot Toys here mate. Judging by the way they operate throughout the years, they wouldn't do that. That sounds more like something that Hasbro would do. Best case scenario would be ToyFair/Comic-con exclusives or Limited Editions. But before all that, I demand Ra's Al Ghul!

Well, using Iron Man as our reference point, we still haven't got Pepper Potts from both films plus the Avenger, haven't got Jim Rhodes from Iron Man 1 and/or 2 and they are both key characters in the movie. So I'm skeptical about what you say above in bold. But let's just hope you're right.

That is true, they haven't made those figures but in Iron Man franchise Hot Toys were and are focusing on the suits, they still try and get as much out as they can but through a different point. Perhaps Pepper Potts and Jim Rhodes aren't wanted enough? Hot Toys sure as hell made a lot of Iron Man suits, even those that weren't in the movies (different coloured versions for example).

But I get your suspicion, Hot Toys have not made a Bale figure up to today even though he is the main charachter and even the release of Gim Gordon Swat figure was a surprise to me. I do hope they make a lot of figures for this movie.

are you sure? IMO a Christian Bale/Bruce Wayne figure with two head sculpts and a nice Kato armani suit would sell really well...

I think there is more money doing what they do right now, which is including his sculpt with the Batman figures. Since these Batman ones are so overpriced, they make a lot of cash as there are people who buy the figure to get his sculpt and then turn around and buy a True Type and such. What they should do is rerelease some of their base bodies and release a suit that's like his. Then they will have people doing customs buy from them, people who bought the Batman figures buying it from them, and people who just have base bodies buying from them.

And add to that the fact that they outsource clothing material and its tailoring (last time I checked). From business standpoint, anyone would like to be in control of their production pipeline without having to go through the trouble of managing the logistic of going back and forth, quality control (yeah, I know), transport and meeting a certain deadline with a separate production company which usually ends up with higher production cost. I think the current business model is very cost-effective. Also, do remember that those movie licenses don't come cheap.
