Haven’t bought or POed much SW since the whole First Order Stormtrooper debacle but saw good reviews on her, liked her look and found a great deal. Also decided to grab the “backpack” and “cloaked binary beacon” off TA to give her a bit more relevance to her time on Ahch-To. If you look closely, you can see a Porg (I want a sandwich) standing on the lightsaber hilt that’s partially in her bag. By the way, I’m so glad they went with sculpted hair, yeah I know that’s usual fare for her TFA figures but I was worried they might switch to rooted with this release.

A couple more. Yeah nothing exciting but still a cool figure for a great price!

I like where you're going, Dave but there's a fine tweak that needs to happen I think.

I'd settle either on posing her upright with no lean and retaining the arm and leg stance or bring some forward lean through the torso wish her head looking up, and maybe accentuate the bend in the knees a bit.

Thanks, might have to give that a shot. I've tried lots of small variations already but it's kind of a tricky pose to figure out.

And yeah there's just a thin wire taped to the other side of the cloth. :)

Though the figure is great, I am not into this TLJ costume (It's not about Hot Toys, but the movies). And seeing TFA and TLJ Rey side by side strenghtens my feeling.

Agreed with making these small but often dramatic changes to the overall pose. I'm absolutely loving where you are going with this pose WesMordine and she looks like she's 95% there with the final 5% very much achievable with DioramaMaker's suggestions. FANTASTIC!

I'd actually copy your pose if I wasn't so "stuck" on keeping with the scene I had created in my mind.

Do post updates when you mess with it! Rey is on my repose list right now and I always appreciate your display work for some inspiration from time to time.

All my planned poses seem to be hampered by a lack of a force hand, or some form of expressive open hand. It's a right shame she didn't come with one.

Yeah getting a dynamic pose to look “natural” can be extremely difficult and it takes time, patience and the ability to walk away for awhile and come back. Even my stupid Rey-Porg-Staff pose, which is much less dynamic then the reverse lightsaber pose is still a WIP. I’m always running wire through stock HT’s capes and never would have thought to do the same with this figure if not for that pose, so Thank you! Like I said, still a work in progress (I want a sandwich):

Oh I so very much loved this pose but I couldn't maintain it. The roundness of the soles isn't conducive to balancing the motion pose; she eventually fell. I fastened a small angle for the back foot to try to stabilize it but it wasn't the solution. I will revisit it in the future. I really wish the boots were two part sculpted, as beautiful as they are constructed here.
