I took the robes off completely and soaked them for a bit. Then I let them dry over night. I also padded the neck a little.

I think so. I soaked the hood too but I haven't put that back on him yet. I'll get more pics after work. I think padding the neck makes it look thicker and more human instead of a post.

did you just pad it with cotton?
I actually used little , popped, pieces of bubble wrap for now until I get something else
How hard is it to put the robes back on? Thinking about doing a water treatment to mine but I'm scared to ruin it... Also, Do I need to cut the hood to get the robes off?
It takes time, so be patient. You don't want to tear them. And yes you have to cut the hood to get the robes off. I believe it's attached in three or four places to the robes. Just take your time and don't rush.
