Actually they all do in hand. Like I mentioned, the camera hides the more fine details and wrinkles that make the sculpt ridiculously realistic in these newer pics. Only with your own eyes, will you see what I’m talking about.

I was surprised by just changing her hair in different angles I was able to achieve this . It really is a whole figure that is miles ahead of the BVS version now. And the only way it will appear like this is if you see both versions in hand with your own eyes and I really liked the BVS for the longest time but now, the BVS version seems very plain and oddly strange.

Hot Toys really screwed this up. It was a simple recast of the TA head with rooted hair and everybody happy. How they came up with that pointy nose is unexplicable. Perhaps they got pictures of the stunt woman instead of Gal.

I wasn't thinking on buying this figure, I was just checking around on how this figure turned out. And I just fail to see any resemble to Gal Gadot on the headsculpt.

For those of you who are looking for better likeness to Gal Gadot (or how a most of you guys say "Gadotness") I recommed getting one of the Prime1 WW statues.

Here is a picture of my WW statue (no filters or any modd on the picture), with the hair properly futzed the likeness is spot on:

For me looks like a parody of gadot in porn or something, her eyes looks weird

The prime 1 is a great likeness but the skin looks way to pale unless it's just the lighting in the pics.

Agreed. It's a nice looking statue, but the skin is just way too pale and the hair way too black.

A talented painter would add shadows on the skin and more detail on the face. The eyes need to be repainted, looks like she is wincing.

Thanks for the analysis guyver! I appreciate it. I'm still teetering on getting this now, hesitantly so. But probably more because I have a lot of things slated for this quarter and I'm getting the vibe this might sit around for a while now.

This is the thing that I will never understand about these really expensive statue companies. They make GREAT sculpts, but the life is just absent in them for so many reasons, especially the solid polystone ones. I don't know why heads and limbs aren't done like 1/6 figures when the rest is solid. That way you get the realism and the heft.

The skin is too pink and it should be tanned, interesting that Prime1 misses that detail. Other than that the skin has a high level of details,

Prime1 production paint apps just look a bit too "fake"... $2k for paint apps that look less realistic than a 1/6 figure hrm...

Solo film weapons/GK sword and shield for sure. That was the entire reason I got this, so I can use those and the cloak with it to represent the first film.

The eyes are too sunken in, and they have a weird squint look to them, this is why they are harder to see in this distance shots.

The prime 1 is a great likeness but the skin looks way to pale unless it's just the lighting in the pics.

It's good enough that you can tell it's her, but I wouldn't say it has great likeness to Gal, in some pictures it looks nothing like her, especially distance shots taken from front on. Personally I prefer the TA sculpt over Prime's, as the face is more in proportion than Primes, but it lack's the exotic look Prime's has.

If you look at comparison pics of Gal and the sculpt of the statue, its not even close to being spot on, but like l said good enough that you can tell it's her.

No paint job could fix that issue, her eyes are sculpted that way, you would have to paint over her eye lids.

I know 2 K is a lot of money but it's actually quite cheap for a 1/2 scale statue, so I think the paint quality is what you expect for a statue of that size and price. That being said, Tyranus7 is right, the skin on the statue is quite detailed you can see veins, and even moles on it.

No dislike of the Prime 1 statue, I think it's great. But at 10 times the cost probably beyond most people's budgets for a single figure.

Don't know...like the goodies this version comes with...after cancelling over a month ago, big and bad finally had a short add 2 cart gap on the deluxe again...added it back, but honestly this headsculpt is strictly made for training not WW...expression just doesn't fit...something about it just doesn't look like Gal.

Here's an experiment I tried using a pic of the prototype figure and trying to extract the best likeness I could with some photo editing. Most agree that the proto with the TA sculpt and the JL hair piece was the best version.

Here's my version for now smoothing out the hair and contouring a few features, etc.

Still working with the lighting...
