I'd buy it for that price. I Am not sure if it is worth that price. That's a personal choice. Usually with these things if they are not perfect shape you have a hard time selling them. But not sure about this figure.

If you don't buy it let me know I will if you put me in contact. Even give u finders fee.

That's the point. This figure is hard to find at a reasonable price and at the end I would not be lighting the LEDs (even if they would work fine). A pity however that both LEDs are failing (although the owner has confirmed that they worked properly when he bought the figure).

Right. Well let us know how it goes and if you order.

Thanks for the advices. I finally got it and I am very happy that I did it. :yess:
I will check later on how solving the problem with the LEDs (it might be related to fix tighter the contacts but I need to use the multimeter to be sure).
Here it is...

I picked up one of these recently from eBay - more than I would have liked to have paid but certainly less than some of the crazy prices being asked. Very happy with it as it is a superb looking figure. Just got to wait till next month when I overhaul my man cave and set up my display.

Congrats man. You could also buy the arms on eBay to replace them. Not cheap but if it's a big deal for you that's an option.

Not sure if this is the original thread, but came across a custom on another forum I thought I'd share here:

You know, this was one of the first Iron Man figures I purchased. It was second hand, from ebay. The seller informed me the knee joints were a little loose, but the figure still stood on it's own, and it did. I got it at a very good price, but just wasn't happy with it. While I liked the color, I didn't like the separate rear flaps and the lack of 90 degree hands. (they didn't make them then) So I resold it on ebay for a very fair price with a slight profit. Looking back now though, I realize one thing, "I'M AN IDIOT!" I knew it was a limited figure but never knew the prices were going to skyrocket the way they did. I never should have sold that one.
Life goes on.

Sorry for bumping an old thread, but I've just bought one of these and I have a question - are there any known knockoffs of this piece?

I'm having trouble getting the rear airbrake flaps to slot in properly aligned, and the neck piece keeps popping off the body; I don't recall having these problems with my original Mk IV, so I was wondering if it might be a KO, if it was just a general problem with the figure, or if I just got a bit of bad luck on the manufacturing tolerances.

The item was new in box (box bubble wrapped but not taped, internal bubbles all still factory taped shut, all battery compartments still with isolation tabs), so I don't think its any kind of handling damage.

Odds are pretty good it's legit. I didn't like and had trouble with the rear flaps on mine as well. (see above your post) Not sure what you mean about, "neck piece." Do you mean the whole neck pops out or is there another piece you're referring to?

The piece that fits directly onto the body, with the batteries in it. I've since seen a video review where the section popped off unintentionally, so I think it's just a tolerance fault on the ball joint.
