Th cage sculpt looks decent in the 2nd pic, especially for how he looked in the film.

When I look at the Medi GR, aside from zipper size, I see a tight representation of Ghost Rider. The proportions look good. Hot Toys still can't beat the Medicom thrust.

Definitely need to see more pics that aren't from behind glass. Might've been a bonus if they included Blaze's stunt suit. Sell more True Type's, and make a good display option. And it's in keeping with the eye's looking up, that Hot Toys have adopted.

HT's bike is tailor built for Ghost Riders new stature, and has more detail than Hasbro, which is more suited to the Medicom figure.

Would be cool if they put a couple of lights in the head, changing from orangey flames to blue ones. I like Limit's idea of a transformed shotgun. Is the jaw be moveable?

As it is, Medicom's is comic book and Hot Toy's is movie style. Zipper and buckle detail, jacket, jeans, chaps, gauntlets sculpt all have that Hot Toys touch.

The sculpt does look odd. Semi fleshed out or something. Licencing problems again??? So much more they could do with this release. It could all happen couldn't it, or is it too late?

I really love where the flame touches the skull, looks like its actually burning. real nice effect. I wonder if it lights up or anything. I guess they would have shown that if it did. It'd be so cool if the jaw was articulated and his eyes and mouth could light up!

bad ass figure i w:yess::yess:ant!!!!!

Well at least ghostrider and blade have both got unique looks ..all the xmen are very boring looking imo ..
Unfortunately, this is true so long as they are focusing on movie figures. I still think HT X-Men would be nifty, and would probably pick some of them up, they just aren't as visually interesting as guys like Blade and Ghostrider, IMO (and maybe even a Stevenson Punisher). Now if they started doing the comic designs. . .

Pretty cool, overall. BUT, I think the skull looks too big.

Nicholas Cage's head looks more like Bradley Cooper :D.

I want to like this figure, but the Medicom RAH version looks so much more badass, in terms of the skull.

HT's version gets points only for the motorcycle and the outfit.

Its funny because it almost looks like hot toys took there skull from the comics and medicom from the movie ..medicoms sculpt looks way more accurate(the actual finish isn't, but the general shape)
..but like you said everything else in terms of the tailoring and accessories hot toys are superior.
The stunt suit would be a great idea and it might actually mean the cage sculpt may be used, rather the sit in the box, as i doubt many would use it on the actual figure, that said however id say its unlikely..especially if the hellcycle is included with the figure..getting the stunt suit on top of that is just a tad bit unrealistic ..as cool as the idea is, it ain't gonna happen.

Did people actually like that medicom fig when it was released ?.. i mean Jesus! the zipper is almost as big as the frikkin head:horror.

that skull is certainly better than hot toys, accuracy wise, not detail wise. the ht one actually looks nicer, but not as accurate.

also...i have to wonder what medicom used as reference for that outfit...i mean really ...it's totally effed up! wtf? it somewhat resembles the movie outfit, but overall it's quite different..:gah:
on the other hand, the ht outfit looks astonishing

The outfit on the Hot Toys Ghost Rider looks great. Much more screen accurate than the Medicom version. But the skull does look odd. It looks too "humanized", if that makes sense. It almost looks like what a cartoon version of a skull would look like instead of one based on a real skull.

:goodpost: ..your right there ..especially when you stick a movie still next to it you can see how waaaay off it is.:slap

I think if HT doesn't revise the skull sculpt, I would personally use the Medicom head on the HT outfit + bike for the more accurate version of Ghostrider. What HT have now looks high quality, but the head reminds me too much of a baby face:

Yes it is. Blows away Medicoms cheap scrawny attempt.

I dunno - I'm not really feeling it. Certainly not enough to upgrade from what I've already got.

A dream come true, I'll snatch this bad boy in a heartbeat. I don't like Medicom's Ghost Rider, looks weird.

Spider-Man > Ghost Rider WTF IS HT THINKING?

Why do they keep doing 2nd rate characters?
