Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

I know.:yess:
I went on waitlist just 7-10 days ago. I have no idea how it happened and never even hoped it would convert at all.

Of course had to create a couple of more accounts as you can't order more than 1.:nana::monkey3

Unless it is under another person's name, credit card, and address, Sideshow will catch it and cancel your order. :nana:

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

I was thinking of canceling this at one point the other day but Bruce is too important to me....oh and it's the exclusive :nana:

Arghhhhhh bastard!!!! :panic:

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

Finally!

My order is going to be converted tommorow!!

Really happy to be on the waitlist just days before its going to be released!! :yess:

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

Congrats Tiger! :hi5:

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

You still have two full outfits there though. The second figure just has to be the stealth suit. Still two full figures for the EX though :dunno

:lol I feel like an idiot! I never once thought about how the stealth suit doesn't have the pants on. Why couldn't I realize something so simple. :slap So long as he has two complete outfits then that's cool I guess. I feel like this is an important release to go for and I want it a lot, I just wish Sideshow didn't convert me until a month from now :monkey2

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

Some pics of my set... The lighting is little dark cause I didnt like the flash on the pics, I used my Cybershot and tried to take the pics with the natural shadowing and stuff so that you can have a fair idea of what it looks like in hand under normal lights at home

I dunno how large they are, my first attempt at posting pics in this link way on any forum, so Im sorry if they turn out too big or two small :)

I think this is the BEST diorama and base set we've ever got from Hot Toys. Not 2 but actually 3 dioramas. (The mirror room can be reversed to serve as the memorabilia and weapons room)

The Dioramas

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

The figure is excellent however I have to say that I do agree with what someone said (I cant remember who) on this thread. Yulli's effort looks like Bruce from quite some angles but Arnie's are just Bruce. Both the HS are great, well done and will look great on display. Just too much lighting can ruin the likeness a little bit. As in it looks the best with some balance of light and shadow.

Also a little quality control issue. My Figure's black belt/sash's push button doesnt really work. As in it was held tight due to the white protecting tape which held it in the package. The tailor put the same two buttons on the sash so I have two push points and no button to fasten the thing. Im holding the back with a transparent twisty tie from some NECA figure

Axecutioner18 ! Great pictures - and thank you very much for your very informative review ! By the way, if I got you right, would you say that Yulli did not quite manage top what Arnie can do in terms of the likeness of the head sculpt ?

Jaroto, it depends on where you live, but if you live in Europe the best packing and service is from OneSixthBruce.co.uk (they are known for their great special care when it comes to extra packaging) ! How ever they are sold out on the pre-orders, and I do not know if they will get an extra supply after that - but you could send them an e-mail

Honestly if you tell me she has done a FANTASTIC job on her first effort. Arnie Kim too took his time to get his Bruce done just right (from the first Game of Death to Fist of Fury) Every sculptor just gets better from the previous effort on the same thing (Yulli's Joker sculpt is a similar example) Arnie's sculpt has the edge in terms of likeness over Yulli's but its nothing to really hamper anything. In all honestly when you will get the sculpt in your hand you will see that Yulli's sculpt really looks great when Bruce's eyes are looking sideways and the photo is from an angular perspective. Anyway its just that Fist of Fury's likeness is really amazing, so is the Kato showing the young Bruce Lee really well. This Enter The Dragon is a great likeness. But yes at this moment Arnie's sheer practice with Bruce Lee makes his current sculpts unbeatable. Check his last take on the 'woo' mouthed Bruce Lee, which is pretty much the same/similar expression as Yulli's BD head.

Again I would like to say that though in extreme nitpicking the likeness is little off from straight ahead perspective however with the right lighting and shadowing on the figure the sculpt and paint really makes the likeness truly Bruce and truly the best dynamic Bruce we have had from any company release so far :)

Well said axe! :wink1:

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

...but only if one of those figures is in the stealth suit - if you want the BD shirtless Bruce and the non-BD Bruce with shirt, you'll need a second pair of pants (and shoes if you're a sreen-accuracy freak 'cause one pair is brown-soled and the other white).

See things like this seem to contradict everything else I've heard. Does it or does it not have two pairs of pants/something to wear on the lower half :(

Perhaps I misunderstood Monger but I assumed he was just looking to display both outfits. Bruce has the complete stealth one piece outfit as well as the outfit that he wears during the end sequence incl. the shirt. The EX does give us the option of displaying two full screen accurate figures.... Just not two figures wearing the same outfit.
