So it seems the legs are "bendy", maybe the same principle behind the torso of figures like Drake and Rocky.
That's interesting, but it still looks off.

you mean, besides the ALL of the kenner aliens?
it's not that bad. even in the movie there were different versions of the puppets that looked different from the costume and the mcfarlane figure is based on those.

the problems i had with it were the pose/lack of articulation, and some paint chipping off the dome.
anyway, it's long gone, and now i need a 12" version. and nobody else is making one.

You're right, I was totally dismissing the Kenner/Hasbro ones... although I really like their A:R warrior. It's a great sculpt!
However, what I dislike the most about the McF dragon is the head, it looks nothing like any version used on the movie!

Sideshow is seriously overcharging for the dog alien. The dog alien is still priced the same as the "Aliens" and "AVP" Alien (about $115). Import might not be such a bad idea with this one considering that you'll pay about the same with shipping and you'll get it much faster.
