The rubber is for the neck. Gives it more articulation. I for one am glad for the rubber sleeves covering the neck post. I can live with elbows, knees, you name it but the necks are a killer. Keep them covered I say!

If you put on Avatar, take out the music, and throw in How To Train Your Dragon's score, it makes the movie so much better. It's almost like HTTYD's was written for Avatar.
