They were kept in a box with other 1/6 figures and somehow only the two were heavily affected- maybe the mold just prefers figures based on British actors. :/
I hope there is some way to clean these and prevent future spreading without damaging the fabric.

"In A Box". welp that explains everything. humid & heat tend to accumulate inside boxes and have difficulty escaping.
my guess is the whole box is contaminated so best to decontaminate everything inside even if they aren't showing.
what i would do:
remove everything inside the box in an area you don't mind being contaminated (outdoor/toilet).
if the box is plastic wash it and let it fully dry. if cardbox burn it with fire (or discard it inside a plastic bag).
for figures you feel comfortable stripping everything do it, put the fabrics inside warm water with washing detergent. do not do that on parts containing leather/pleather/rubber we will talk about those later. then soak them again in clean warm water, dry them up fully. at this time if you think of ironing the clothes do it but make sure the temperature is not too hot.
do the same for plastic parts (head/weapon/shoes/body). do not wash parts containing metal, electronics etc.
for those that can't be washed, for hard parts use microfiber cloth + lighter fluid and wipe them.
for rubber/vinly/leather/pleather, use damped microfiber cloth to wipe them clean. you may need to do it multiple times. using a white cloth will let you know if there's still residue they will turn yellow/brownish.
once everything is 100% dry. put them all in a plastic box, purchase those moth ball chunks (size of a palm), and some dehumidifying packs. This should kill off any mold residue. once done your figures should be decontaminated.
i'm not sure how many boxes you have, but if you don't see signs of mold, you can still put some chunks of moth ball & dehumidifying packs inside just to be safe.
thing about moth ball chunk, don't open it fully, poke a small hole, they should last for years. as for dehumidifying packs, purchase those that doesn't turn jelly after use because you will need to replace them or else they grow mold. those that doesn't turn aren't as effective but better than nothing.
