Is every season a completion of one book? The seasons seems so short.

the first two seasons were based on books 1 and 2, season 3 was the first half of book 3. Like Kibagami said, Season 4 is the second part of book 3.

The seasons do go by super quick, but I actually think that's a good thing that they are only 10 episodes. It leaves us wanting more and more. My only concern is it's becoming quite clear that the show may finish before the books do.

If I recall correctly from the Wiki, Bron is Tyrion's first choice but refuses as he doesn't think he can beat the Mountain. I think then that Tyrion deduces that Oberyn is his best bet, as he has a personal vendetta against the Mountain.

That said, very happy that I bought the first four books, today. Going to read them while on vacation and looking forward to getting past the show. Can't believe there's anyone that doesn't want to know everything there is to know. If I had my way, George R.R. Martin would tell me the ending and I'd still read the books and watch the show.
