My UK distributor mentioned that these figures are designed by Sideshow is that right?

I am waiting to see these in person before passing final judgment.

Same here. I'm hopeful, but skeptical. If they're not to my liking, money saved I guess!

Looks better in this photo. Still needs better paint apps but I was never expecting HT quality in that department. If they could make the dome without a seam, that'd be perfect to me. A black wash over that horrible white plastic would give some depth to the crevices and panelling on this piece.

Yeah it needs some weathering on the white sections to make it pop! A seamless dome and some of the sharper details we saw on the proto would be a lot better...

I have boxes and boxes of MOC and Loose SW figures from 1995 to present (no regrets in collecting them). I think this line will be great but I really hope I do not invest myself and money to it. As I have grown older 39, I have removed myself from the clutter of 3 3/4" to 7" scale figures and focus only on Hot Toys to display. Yes I pick and choose my NECA purchases but they remain on card and shortly stored away.

wow,
That R2 is disappointing as hell.

Still have hope for this line though.
It could still be great.

Need to army build some stormies

I think a lot of us hoped for a high quality action figure for $20. I'll be honest, I pictured a little something more than a blown up 3 3/4" figure

Jedi Temple Archives have all the latest in-hand loose pics!! They all look pretty good except maybe R2. The articulation I really like!!
Thanks for the pics!!

To be honest though, the sandtrooper looks descent, the R2,Luke, and Darth Maul are huge failures in my mind..horrible sculpts and paint apps.
The horns on Darth maul just make me cringe along with the dome on R2....that seem is ridiculous.

I cannot say it enough...look at what Neca and McFarlane toys are doing...Hasbro looks like an amateur!!!!!!!!!

So that terrible r2 is accurate. :( and why is the sandie helmet yellow? I preordered these directly from Hasbro. I hope they will cancel that preorder. Not a happy camper!

3A's are overrated to me. The cloth goods looked bad on Boba Fett. Not sure the prices would be feasible either. I saw this as an alternative to the overly toy-like 3 3/4" figures I grew up collecting and the highly expensive, unaffordable 1/6 SSC and HT collections. Hoping for a new production R2 but it seems highly unlikely that it'll happen. The new Greedo looks AMAZING but I bet the production version will be plagued with issues like R2 and Maul have had so far.

Fabric cloth on this size of figure sucks and looks like something your mom made on the kitchen table 'cause the sewing room is filled with sterlite containers of unused rolls of yarn and boxes of Dad's ridiculous porn collection.
