Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Movie SPOILERS!

My thoughts:

Spoiler:

The Good:

- Alan Rickman as Snape and Ralph Fiennes as Voldemort. Enough said.

- Voldemort walking through his kill in Malfoy Manor.

- Seeing Professors McGonagall, Slughorn, Flitwick, Pomfrey, Sprout, Trelawney, etc. for one last time.

- Pius Thicknesse being killed by Voldemort. Didn't happen in the book, but thought that was an appropriate response by the frantic Dark Lord.

- Pansy Parkinson's "What are you waiting for? Someone grab him!" line. I didn't think they'd put that in the film.

- Narcissa saving Harry in the Forbidden Forest.

- Greyback killing Lavendar Brown. As annoying as she was, it was painful to see that.

- Epilogue was handled very, very well.


The Bad:

- The CG done to make Snape look young during the Prince's Tale actually made him look very, very strange.

- I hated that Bellatrix, Nagini, and Voldemort all disintegrated upon death. Seeing their dead, hollow bodies would've made their passings have much more of an impact. As it is, it's like they never existed at all.

- I felt like we didn't get a conclusion on McGonagall. Maybe I missed her at the end celebration, but I just felt like she deserved to be seen in her school with her students.

- I felt like their should have been more of a celebration. I know a lot of people died, but come on - the world's darkest person was just obliterated. Quite literally.

Just got back.

I agree it could have been 10 -15 minutes longer. Other than that, it was perfection. Loved it.

Thought it was incredible.

Teared up big time during Snape's Memories.

Absolutely loved it.

The only thing I would liked to have seen would be Kreacher showing up with all the kitchen elves. It would have been nice to see his good side.

10/10 Amazing.

Things i liked:

- Seeing old faces like Sprout

- Snape, his death and his memories - beautiful, moving.

- Harrys walk to the forest knowing he has to die

Things i didn't like -

- Harry and Voldemorts duel with NO-ONE watching, no dialogue between the two as there was in the book

- NO celebrations after Voldemort is killed. It's as if no-one realized he was dead - probably because no-one was watching!

- Would have liked to have seen Harrys talk with Dumbledores portrait and him using the elder wand to repair his broken one.

- Bellatrix, Voldemort and Nagini's deaths - the whole shattered glass thing - WTF???

I was disappointed by the scene when Harry jumps off the ledge with Voldemort. I was hoping it would be a good scene since it looked so badass. I thought the flying around was cool, but the way they were just clawing at each others faces looked stupid.

I totally missed that was Lavendar that Greyback killed.

I know it happened in the book, but I felt bad for the Slytherins getting locked in the dungeon. They aren't all bad.

I'm really glad they had Neville become the BAMF he was in the book.

I loved the Dungeon part. I thought it was funny. You know, I loved every Mcgonagall scene, which is why I would have loved to see more wicked spells from her. That woman is one talented Witch!

I'll grant you that. It was a great line. And all things considered it was probably a good idea since it would be impossible to know who was supporting Voldemort and who just couldn't be relied on in a battle.

I loved her line after she animated the statues. "I've always wanted to use that spell." lmao

That was great! The whole theater laughed and I picture it a lot because it was so cute. I loved her mini battle with Snape. Just wish she could have known the truth. Feel bad that he died before everyone did. But Mcgonagall is no magical slouch. Which is why I wanted to see her more in battle. And not seeing the professors fight more was sad for me. Especially Trewlaney. Who doesn't want to see her dropping crystal balls on people's heads? lol.

 

[Two-Face]

I've seen the film twice already and can barely find a bad thing to say! The best parts were of course Snape, McGonagall, and Neville. Everything was so well done and it is without a doubt my all time favorite harry potter movie.

However, Voldemort death seemed anticlimactic. Its not that no-one was watching, tat was fine. IT was just a few things: 1. no spell was said! just jets of light without avada kedavra or expelliarmus. 2. when harry won, the green light didnt hit voldemort! the light just died out and the wand went flying. 3. i didn't like him disintergrating. his lifeless bod falling to the floor would ha made a much better impact on the audience. But i still loved the film. I thought Gringotts was fantastic. The room of requirement was intense and of course snapes death and memories were the high point of the film series. 10/10 from me.

There isn't one that I recall.

Per Voldie's death, it's far more anti-clactic in the book. So the movie is a definite improvement there.

Just saw it at 10:30.I can say I did get a little teary eyed when Snape's memories were viewed.
10/10 FANTASTIC FILM.
Sad to know that it's the last.
